I think it all depends on being lucky enough to get through to a good advisor , some go out of their way to help, others just say "no further updates"-end of story:mad:

    Hi pinknico
I thought we we get more positive info, did you?
I have just spoken to then and they could only say they are gathering info from lender and if they require any more from us, they will be in touch. It will then be passed to a case handler. When this is completed it will then go back to FSCS .
Looks like all my theories were wrong:mad: They couldn't give a timescale either:rolleyes:
    Lets keep positive;)
    xx

I got the same response when I received my call back from Delloites. At least now they have put my case as priority although I was informed that it would not make much difference to any timescale. Never mind, the waiting continues!!!

Just spoken to FSCS. Say they are moving forward and are still hoping to start some pay outs this month. Working closely with FO to ensure all calculations are fair and consistent to all customers.;)

They are using date of receipt to process claims, so this is good new for us.

The advisor was really helpful and pleasant:j
    xx
    Thanks Bushbyh

That is a bit of good news!;) Lets hope its not the usual fobbing off they have given us.:j

Hi all. WELL WELL WELL WELL! Phone call this afternoon from the FOS to tell me that Sainsburys have conceded with my PPI complaint and I will be getting a full refund plus 8% interest!!!!!

It's taken a good few years of pestering them, but at last, I've won. Well, not really won as at times over the past few years, my nerves have been blinkin' well frought over this. But, financially I've won, I'm getting my money back, and I'll never have to face a demand from HBoS ever again.

The balance of the card is about £700 - £750 at the moment (I made a payment to them this morning!), but by my reckoning, they owe me about £1100. So, balance of the card paid off, and will a little bit extra to spare.

I now am in a position where I have only one credit card. I paid off my RBoS card last week, and my Egg Card has been closed. I have one card which is my 'working' card and I use it for purchases over £100 so I can use section 75 if anything ever goes wrong! So, I'm feeling bloody good today. Not to say relieved. At long last, this extremely frustrating chapter is closed.

(Or it will be when I get the cheque they owe me!)

    Yipppeeeeeeeeeeee.......:j:j:j:j

I have spoken to quite a few advisors in the past and you can sense they are just fobbing you off:mad:
I can honestly say I didn't feel like this today;) She even went to the trouble of gettingour details up on the system.
    Hope i'm right

Cheers for the messages everyone - goes to show that if at first you don't succeed....................after all, it was only a few months back the FOS knoecked me back and told me I was outwith their timescales for making a complaint. Thankfully, I can be a persistent wee bisum when I need to be!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

This also goes to show that the FOS can make mistakes and if you believe you are right, keep on at them.
