Maybe we just have to know the right questions to ask. The lady this morning couldnt even tell me where I was in the queue and seemed to imply that she knew nothing until she was updated by whoever was actually working on the claims. Or they have been taught how to be obstructive!

Same with me, her name was Rebecca, I rang back and got through to her again, said I had wrong number. Wasn't worth going through with it again, had to drag everything out of her. Maybe I am being unfair and she is just following insructions:mad:

Just spoken to FSCS. Say they are moving forward and are still hoping to start some pay outs this month. Working closely with FO to ensure all calculations are fair and consistent to all customers.;)

They are using date of receipt to process claims, so this is good new for us.

The advisor was really helpful and pleasant:j

Date of receipt is good for us, must mean they have already got some info from lenders and think some of us must have a claim if they think they can make payouts this month.

I have just rang FSCS to see what progress they were making.Said I couldn't get any info from Deloittes.

The say thay are working closely with FO with calculations as they need to ensure all claims are fair and consistent to all customers.

They are using date of receipt in processing claims.

They are still hoping to make some payments this month.

I feel a bit more hopeful again:beer::j

I think you are right and if I am correct all picture ppi's are single premium so we must all have a valid claim.

The advisor sounded really positive and said they are working really hard at getting this sorted:j

It's taken a good few years of pestering them, but at last, I've won. Well, not really won as at times over the past few years, my nerves have been blinkin' well frought over this. But, financially I've won, I'm getting my money back, and I'll never have to face a demand from HBoS ever again.

The balance of the card is about £700 - £750 at the moment (I made a payment to them this morning!), but by my reckoning, they owe me about £1100. So, balance of the card paid off, and will a little bit extra to spare.

I now am in a position where I have only one credit card. I paid off my RBoS card last week, and my Egg Card has been closed. I have one card which is my 'working' card and I use it for purchases over £100 so I can use section 75 if anything ever goes wrong! So, I'm feeling bloody good today. Not to say relieved. At long last, this extremely frustrating chapter is closed.

(Or it will be when I get the cheque they owe me!)
