PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Thanks, Beanie Baby. That sounds very logical.
Just to complicate things even further (!) I owe about £8000 now to MCS (have paid off loads) and they have said they will settle for £4000. HSCB, with 8% interest would owe me about £4000.
Just pondering whether £4000 from HSBC to MCS would pay MCS off or would it get "lost in the system" and I would then still have a total of £4000 to pay?! Again, its of no great importance, just pondering on how the system works.0 -
I am so pleased. Today I received 2 cheques (for 2 loans) totalling just under £3,000 !!!Hi,
I have had a few loans with Egg. The first I can't remember what exactly happened so will ignore that one, but for sure the last 2 I had pushy salesmen who basically said you're not getting the loan if you don't accept PPI. I needed the money and went ahead with them.
I'm going to put in a claim, but should I write 2 seperate letters, or just combine it in 1?
Thanks,
G.
And I only posted my letter to egg on the 28th July!
Many many thanks guys!0 -

you will have all the ppi back that you have made to date, plus the ppi taken off the loan, i am sure that is what you are being paid back. just because your account is in collections will not make any difference to the ppi you get back. i would check your figures they have sent you, as they cannot just refund a part of the ppi, the loan will be put back into the position it was without the ppi, i am sure they will take your refund off your loan, if this clears the arrears that is what they will do, you may be lucky and get some back bit dont build your hopes up.(did u win mis sell or is this just an offer? if it is just an offer go back to them you want all ppi back not just a part of it)Please could someone look at my thread? I am trying to claim back PPI on a loan but it is complicated in that I didn't make every loan payment so the loan was taken into collections.
(It was with HSBC then there in-house collections company, MCS)
It seems simple enough to get the PPI element back from the payments I made to HSBC and they have sent me a letter saying they will pay those back. But I would like the element of the debt that is PPI reimbursed as well. Hope that makes sense!

Hi pinknicoHello all Picture claimants waiting patiently!:D
I rang Deloitte today and "processing your claim shortly " means seeing if we have a claim. If we do they should let us know and then compensation will follow.
So they are not calculating at the moment but are dealing with the oldest claims so these are dealt with as speedily as possible but the lovely lady I spoke to has no idea on what, when, who or where we will hear anything.
Keep smiling Picture buddies, we will get there!;)
I thought we we get more positive info, did you?
I have just spoken to then and they could only say they are gathering info from lender and if they require any more from us, they will be in touch. It will then be passed to a case handler. When this is completed it will then go back to FSCS .
Looks like all my theories were wrong:mad: They couldn't give a timescale either:rolleyes:
Lets keep positive;)
