I have just come off the phone from Deloittes and they have informed me that they have received my claim but it is not marked as priority.
I asked them why not as I had been informed by FSCS that it would. I explained my circumstances again and the lady said she would make enquiries and call me back to see if it could be dealt with as priority. I asked how long priority cases would take and she could not say. She said once they had dealt with the claim it had to go back to FSCS so the process could still take a few months.
I questioned the information I had read about payments being made in August and she stated that she could not say but felt this was doubtful. I will wait for her to return my call and keep you updated. X

    Hi
    Hope they call you soon.;)
This waiting game gets harder by the day:mad:

Well guys phoned the FOS today. Strike while the iron is hot! Turns out they have written to Welcomes underwriters today who are Aviva. This means that they will I would imagine need to contact Welcome. Its a new process and only started a month ago but im very excited as if it works it will be a brilliant victory against them after their glee at declaring they were not regulated!

Hello busbyh, yes I was expecting something more positive and hope that they have been using the last month and a half since Picture were declared in Default to gather some information from the lender and not waited until sending out this letter!!

Surely they must know after all this time we are desperate for news?

    Hi Ali

What ever reasons occur to you then you write them all.

For instance, they more or less said you had to take it out in condition of being accepted for the loan.
    The adviser was pushy.

You may have had other reasons as well, you were not given the option then.
If you were sold these so called "Single Polices", these are a complaint on their own, as they are very costly and you would be paying out for example a loan over 10 years, where the PPI was then only for 5 years, you would still be paying out for the life of the loan.

Let us know if you require any help with this, you will find useful information with templates and a mis selling checklist reasons etc.

    Good luck.;)

Di, thanks for adding your bit earlier, it makes me feel a bit better knowing that I have you all on here fighting my bit of your own corner. I didn't know about the single policy thing, so at least on that point I should win as I think I had one.

Does it sound like it? - It says on my p/work that there was a policy premium of £x,xxx paid over the term of the loan - i assume that this is a single policy? The total monthly payment of £175.62 is mdae up of part loan part ppi.

Anyway, no update/call from the exboss as yet... Will try and keep you updated. If i win first thing is getting rid of this steam powered pc! ;)
Spare change tin in force this year!
    NRAM PPI : £6022.56 - WIN! :j
    LLOYDS PPI : £4684.66 - WIN! :j
My Pearl of Wisdom : Don't be scared to say "I can't afford it", or "I'm skint" to anything... If you're lucky, you'll still be able to do what you want, just find a different way -and if you can't, you don't need it anyway! :p

    Your welcome.

And yes it does seem like it in regards of a single policy, but I would write all the reasons that occur to you, because it will strengthen your case as well.;)
    Good luck X

Hi all. WELL WELL WELL WELL! Phone call this afternoon from the FOS to tell me that Sainsburys have conceded with my PPI complaint and I will be getting a full refund plus 8% interest!!!!!

It's taken a good few years of pestering them, but at last, I've won. Well, not really won as at times over the past few years, my nerves have been blinkin' well frought over this. But, financially I've won, I'm getting my money back, and I'll never have to face a demand from HBoS ever again.

The balance of the card is about £700 - £750 at the moment (I made a payment to them this morning!), but by my reckoning, they owe me about £1100. So, balance of the card paid off, and will a little bit extra to spare.

I now am in a position where I have only one credit card. I paid off my RBoS card last week, and my Egg Card has been closed. I have one card which is my 'working' card and I use it for purchases over £100 so I can use section 75 if anything ever goes wrong! So, I'm feeling bloody good today. Not to say relieved. At long last, this extremely frustrating chapter is closed.

(Or it will be when I get the cheque they owe me!)
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Surely they must have made some enquiries regarding our claims. They can't have just been sitting on them without making some progress. I am going to ring Deloitte again, see If I can get through to a different advisor who is more forthcoming.

we must try and keep our spirits up;)
