There may only be a few priority cases so they would be done at the same time as the others rather than by themselves?

still dont understand why beaniebabe has such a high number if she sent her form to the FSCS in July 2008 and chickpea and I were August and 20 and 45?

Not that it matters as it has been passed on to Deloitte and I expect more people will post they have letters on Monday.

Date order puts us as the first lot then, July,August, September.

    Hi All,

I was just wondering if someone could tell me what PPI I could get back from my loan, as it does not seem to add up. The loan was over 60 monthsand was at 11.7% apr.

I had a loan which is broke down like the following:

Cash Loan: £7650 Monthly Payment: £168.03
    PPI: 2203.09 Monthly Payment: 48.08
Pay exsisting debt: £2350 Monthly Payment: 50.19
Total Loan: £12203.09 Monthly Paymnt: 266.30

That is a breakdown of the loan. What I don't undestand is that 60 * £48.08 equals £2884.80 not £2203.09.

Could someone please tell what I should get back including 8% interest and also say why they do not calculate up correctly.

    Thank you,

    Loftty

    Hi pinknico
They probably will be done at the same tine -hopefully;)

I wonder if beaniebabe sent it to the FSCS herself or if it was forwarded by the FOS. If it was forwarded it may have been sent later than she thought.
Going by the ref. you would assume it had been received maybe late August or into Sept. although there is a big gap between 100-175!

The reference numbers were given when they sent the claim form out so I cannot understand myself how it could be so high. If it was sent back in July she must have received it June/July, therefore you would expect a low ref.-very confusing!!

Beaniebabe did you receive an acknowledgement from the FSCS to confirm the date of receipt.

    Hi there ;)

How long have this been running? and is it still active?

One of mine I was successful with a Lloyds tsb credit card ppi, although it was resolved through the FOS.
I take it you can try to reclaim from the start, if you do not actually have the statements from beyond 6 years, you may be lucky that they may still hold these details on their data system.

I am aware though if they do not have anything/statements going back beyond 6 years they must at least refund you as from then with interest if successful.
If this goes as far as the FOS, they will also receive the calculations, also to make sure you receive the correct amount.

If successful direct with the business, they should supply you with a full written breakdown of calculations, if not then ask for them, and they should send you this on request.

    Good luck.;)

    Hi Loftty
I don't say to be very good with calculations but I think each payment is including the interest to be paid.

if you multiply each payment you will find they are all different to what it states as the interest is added.
I think the difference between the £2884.80 and £2203.09 of £681.71 is the interest you have paid on the ppi.

    Loan amount -£7650 -168.03 = £10081.18
    Loan amount -£2350 -50.19 = £3014.14

    Total payable - £15980.74 60 payments at £266.30 = £15978

your first or last payment would be adjusted to make up the small difference.

    Think this is correct
I will check it again, but see if it makes any sense to you

I'm sure someone else on the site will be a lot more accurate than me;)

I sent my claim form to the FOS in March 2008 and they forwarded it to the FSCS in July 2008. I have double checked my claim number and it is 147.
I am also confused and guess I will just have to wait and see! I will keep you informed and hope I receive a letter tomorrow! x:confused:

Hi beaniebabe, thanks for getting back, it is so confusing:confused:Was the claim form an FOS one or one that the FSCS sent out.
At least if it was sent in July you should be one of the first ones to be sorted;)
Hopefully you will hear something from deloitte tomorrow. I am going to give them a call and so in pinknico.
