Hello all, have you got your list of questions for Deloitte tomorrow busbyh?!
beaniebabes number doesnt make sense but at least it has gone over to Deloitte , which makes me think that :
All cases will eventually go to Deloitte and the FSCS wont process any as surely they would start doing some priority cases as well?
It is nice to know that we are among the first being dealt with though and included in the already seen by the FOS bunch.

My daughter is on a camping holiday and due to the data protection act don't thiink they will speak to me, unless I can pass myself off as a thirty year old:D:eek:
I may have to wait until she comes home and her husband will ring them although me being me, no doubt I will give it a go.I have their permisssion to open any mail from deloitte or fscs. I will still ring as a general enquiry though;).

I now remember reading an article somewhere saying FSCS are not experienced in dealing with cases like those of Picture:confused::confused:So it may actually be in our best interests that they have been outsourced. Another reason for the delay could be that Picture business was put out to tender to several financial firms before deciding on Deloitte. Just another thought:confused::D

I am full of assumptions ;););) Probably none of them correct:o

I will give them a ring tomorrow then and see what they class as "processing"

I suppose this would be the first case of mis selling PPI by an in Default company for the FSCS so not surprised if they are in the dark!

Yes, that's true, so best a company with experience takes it on
Let me know how you get on. I will still ring as a general enquiry. I am hoping processing means it has been approved and we are entitled to refund;)

It does state on the letter "please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further information"

    We wait for tomorrow;)

    Dear All,

I wonder if I could ask for a quick bit of advice. I'm going after NatWest PPI on a loan I've had for a couple of years (they're my bank) and also Capital One PPI which I was definitely mis-sold, as I was under the impression I wouldn't get the credit card unless I took out PPI.

My question is, would it be prudent to switch cards before I start the process - I'm wondering if they will cancel my card with me asking this?

As I've had the card since 2005 I'm thinking perhaps any refund of PPI would pay off the whole balance!

If have read through quite a lot of the success forum, and it seems like Capital One play hard but pay up in the end!

    Many thanks for all advice.

    Best,

They are not allowed to cancel your card this is frowned on by both the FSA and FOS.

    Hello there atc9m and welcome,;)

As Pinknico says they are not allowed to cancel.

If mis sold for any reason then I would try to reclaim on your PPI and the interest etc.

They have 8 weeks in full to respond, keep at them until they resolve in your favour, or until they issue you with the final decision, which should also enclose details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you can take your complaint to these if your not happy with the outcome of the final response, and best as well to post by recorded delivery, for your proof of posting.

More information with a checklist of mis selling reasons, templates etc, use them as a guide if you can, then write your own reasons.

Good luck, feel free to post for further help if required, and please keep us posted, cheers.;)

    hi all
i have been reading some past posts with claims going through fos. They state they are dealt with in date order as it would not be fair to do it any other way.

pinknico this is what we were discussing, so maybe ours are dealt with the same way - hence the confusion we had with reference numbers.I know if we have any requests in work they are put in date of receipt

    Hi bushyh.;)

You made a good point here.

I know the FOS do consider fast tracking as well depending on that person's personal cirumstances, so wonder if they work the same in that way as well?
