On the up side today Tesco Personal Finance has given the FOS a settlement figure for me, the FOS are checking it and will then send the form for me to sign.

hi all of you :Athanks for all your support showergirl you have not offended me or others the air was blue at my house after my phone call so dont worry. i am so annoyed and upset i cant even think about what has happened to us. i dont think it has sunk in yet thats how i am coping. but still my new house will look great once its sorted. thats where we heading now so ive got my rubber gloves and im off scrubing!!! thanks to all of you the support we get from all of you is a great comfort. will try and get on here later love dialysis xxxx:T

I hope they get this right as some have had them done wrong. Its something to do with rule 78 being used when they should not have done as it was abolished for later loans. I know of one that has contested this now as it was a loan taken after rule 78 was abolished and yet they used it in the settlement of the PPI. I think FOS is sorting it out.

I should be ok Marshallka, its a credit card. The reason I sent it to the FOS is because they offered a goodwill gesture of £60 which was the PPI paid in the last 6 years and I wanted all of it in the last 9 years has I hadn't requested it.It sounds like the FOS are checking the figures before sending me the settlement perhaps to save time or me having to turn it down?

Regarding reclaiming/complaining they do have 8 weeks in ful to respond.

I forgot to mention that they have sent me the loan agreement and I sent off the 1st stage letter. They have 40 days to reply. I recieved a letter stating a member of a team is now investigating.
Is this counted as a reply? Do I just sit and wait, or do I still keep counting the days awaiting a final outcome?
Hope this makes sense

Hello Pitman they have 8 weeks to complete their investigations from the time they received your first letter so now its just a waiting game until that time is up.
