mrsright21 wrote: »Hello All,
I've been trying to reclaim my mis-sold PPI,and after many many letters to a different
companies and getting nowhere.I've actually got money to pay whole thing off.
I've been told by FOS that looking into my case can take up to 18 months, which i can't afford to wait, because from the £140 a month £115-120 goes to pay interest so basically
im wasting money.
So here is the question: if i pay the whole thin off now, will i be able to reclaim any PPI after?
I would appreciate your advice..
Thanks X0 -
dont accept this, let them know you will be taking this further, you will continue to pay the ppi back with interest for the remainder of the loan term, the offer they are making you is a drop in the ocean, first plus did not tell anyone the full truth about front loaded ppi so they have not got a leg to stand on, if you go mis sell and win you will get all the ppi taken off your loan and all the ppi payments you have made to date back plus 8% interest and your loan will reduce by a lot more than £38, they are fobbing you off dont fall for it
Thanks Amersall .... letter going off to FOS today ..... will keep you posted0 -
Hi all been to see house this morning it is fine got keys and starting decorating today oh so fast. No news from Deloittes!!! I am absolutly fuming I emailed them got a phone call this morning never even heard of me all they are doing is dealing with Pictures liquidation :mad:Been on phone to FSCS just now was told that it would not be dealt with in a week and deloitte did not receive my claim until the 6th July so it is early days. We are apparently priority due to our repossession whoopee!! but it could be up to 6 months. Great. Anyway thought I better update you all that it is still a long slog.0

But you could still have to wait 6 months to have your case sorted.
Do these people not think you have waited long enough.
This is what really pees me off about this reclaiming lark the powers that be seem to drag their feet. So much for customer care, they couldn't give a s**t0 -
Should have known it wouldn't be plain sailing, but it would have been nice if Deloitte at least knew who you were and it was naughty of someone to tell you you would be contacted this week.DS1 12/10/04

I spoke to the FSCS yesterday as I tried to call Deloitte as well and they didn't know me either.
I was told that there would be no direct contacts available at Deloitte as they would be dealing with the 'back office side of the claims to speed them up, (makes sense I suppose).
The FSCS said to continue to use them as pint of contact for any questions regarding the claim.

Hi dialysis
Glad the house is fine.;) Did wonder how you were getting on.
And another 6 months...... that is a very long time, well in your case they should reconsider getting this done now for you or sooner than 6 months at least.
My mate contacted me last night, not seen her for few years, she unfortunately lost her home and told me she now lives round the corner from me, she will be calling in some time, so if you need a chat you know where we are.;)XXXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Its hard and I know what its like believe me, I REALLY do, when you have done all you can to keep it but when you KNOW you have done all you can and you accept that, you can move on with your head held high and look forward to a new chapter in your life again. I just wish you and your family the very best and hopefully you will get compensated for this in time too.0 -
