Here is my email response in regards of Twopart Ltd.
    Dear Mr and Mrs

Thank you for your E mail of 14 July 2009 about your claim against Twopart Limited.

As you are aware, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) was set up to investigate claims for compensation against firms that are no longer trading and cannot honour claims themselves.

We have reached the final stage of our investigation into Twopart Limited to see whether it should be declared “in default”. Although I am unable to give an exact timescale as to when this will be completed, please be assured that we are trying to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

    I hope this clarrifies matters.

    Yours sincerely

    G
    Senior Claims Officer

Well, my unfair rebate complaint has been squashed in a way now as the FOS have told me (a manager there) that I will no doubt not win with it as it has been reviewed by someone there.

It has been there since May last year, before two adjudicators against the lender and then it was FOS that told me that unfair rebates of PPI need to be against the insurer and that it was under "compulsory jurisdicition". They wrote on my behalf in October. The insurer asked for 4 more weeks but I submitted it to FOS and have been checking weekly ever since and now after all this time I have been told this:confused:. I was supposed to have a call yesterday about it from this manager but he never did and then today also but nothing as to yet. I am more annoyed at the fact that I had my hopes up for a third time as this would have been a couple of grand and now nothing. Tiggrae advised me to go for this complaint against the lender but FOS said "no" its the insurer and I thought that unfair rebates WERE a complaint but seems not in my case. I really want an explanation to this as I am totally confused.

Not sure I understand your case. I always thought that the compliants for PPI was against the Broker or company that sold the PPI not the insurer. As for complaints against unfair rebates I am unsure. Sorry can't be of help with that. Hope it gets sorted for you...:confused:

I spoke to the Adjudicator todaay who said that my case has gone to another Adjudicator for second decission and today they again up-held my claim..... loans.co.uk will be sent letter stating this fact in next few days. He said if they refuse to pay then it will go to ombudsman for final decission. Has any-one else ever been passed to a second Adjudicator and if so how long does the company now get before it goes to the ombudsman? they have already had 3 month since the first Adjuudicator up-held my claim the first time, and a year before that wiating to reach Adjudicator.:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::coffee::coffee::coffee:

    Jadest this is cool :T:T;).
    Yes been there.

It can vary, with mine it was 14 to 15 months by the time it was paid out, yet that was rather a complexed case.
I do hope they deal with yours now for asap, fingers crossed.;)

As far as I know from a case of mine, if the company don't reply or disagree within the 2 weeks they are given to reply it goes to the Ombudsman and if they find in your favour the company are asked to pay out within 4 weeks, this decision is. legaly binding

Thanks for posting this up Pinknico, because my hubby is still waiting for his to be dealt with, in regards of his credit card, if you remember the FOS upheld his, but lloyds gave no response, so this was moved on to the ombudsman, well waiting into the queue for this, he was told today that his case should be with the ombudsman within the next few days, so probably next week now, as it was listed for the 10th July, but there has been a delay and so.
They said the same as what you said as well.;)

This one has been with them for approx a year.

we have received a letter from fp today about our mis-selling claim ... They have reviewed it again and are satisfied that the ppi was explained correctly. "nevertheless, having considered your complaint, the senior managers of firstplus are willing to reach an agreement with you in an attempt to reach a mutually agreeable outcome.we are concerned that you are unhappy with the remaining cover provided by the insurance policy and should you wish to cancel the policy we would like to offer an enhanced rebate of the insurance premium. The enhanced rebate that we are prepared to offer you is calculated on a pro-rate basis of 78% of the insurance premium. Our offer takes into account the time the policy has provided you with cover (35 months) and the rebate is calculated on the unexpired term remaining (25 months). This would mean an amount of £2,721.57 would be applied to your loan account in addition to the normal rebate of £601.41 payable on cancellation of the policy.i would point out that this additional refund is made with no admission of liability by either the insurers or firstplus and is purely a gesture of goodwill. I would be grateful of you would confirm acceptance of this offer in writing at your earliest convenience."this is their final response.we have already paid approx £3,500 and if we still have to pay till the end of the loan term that will be a total of around £16,500. If we cancel we cannot claim the £10,250 refund of premiums at 5 years as originally promised and they make no mention of a reduction in our monthly repayments for the rest of the loan.our question is has anybody else received a response like this and did you accept it?? If not has the fos found on your behalf??? Is there anything obvious that i have missed?? My brain is in a whirl with all this info!! Thanks.
Have just spoken to fp .... Our monthly repayments will only drop by £38 for the remainder of the loan term.
dont accept this, let them know you will be taking this further, you will continue to pay the ppi back with interest for the remainder of the loan term, the offer they are making you is a drop in the ocean, first plus did not tell anyone the full truth about front loaded ppi so they have not got a leg to stand on, if you go mis sell and win you will get all the ppi taken off your loan and all the ppi payments you have made to date back plus 8% interest and your loan will reduce by a lot more than £38, they are fobbing you off dont fall for it
