hi all
help please.
i phoned ocean finance today to ask if they received my ppi complaint letter. a lady told me that the address i wrote to is now a block off flats, so they wont off received my letter. also the company has changed names and the previous owner is not there anymore.
she mentioned that she will send my details and complaint to the solicters of the old company. she also asked why i was mis sold my ppi, i replyed about single premium policy (didn't know anything about it) and the 5 years it covered (not full term). she seemed to know what i was talking about!!!!!!
with the soliceters being involved, does this mean going to court straight away??
or being looked at differently??

I am rather confused here.....
These block of flats who are they? Who was the lady?
If you kept a copy of your letter, reprint this off and try to find the details of the correct address to send to - to make sure this is recieved to the correct department.
So the address you wrote to, do you think you could post this up, so I can check another for you, just to be sure its not the same address it goes to?
When they said solicitors, they probably meant Ocean Finance solicitors, for the complaint to be investigated by them.......sorry if I have got this wrong Pammie, just finding it a little confusing on the block of flats and the lady you spoke to.......:oThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

the address was to ocean finance, (the only address i had from old letters). they have now moved and the old site is now flats, so they wouldn't off received my letter.
the lady i spoke to is from the new company now called ocean finance loans and mortgages. she is sending my complaint to the old ocean finance soliceters.I SPOKE TO A WISE OLD MAN THE OTHER DAY.
HE TOLD ME 3 WAYS TO HAVE GOOD LUCK!!!!!!:j

Hello all had a reply back from the FOS in regards to them looking at ALL PPI complaints, I had asked if this was the case could they re look at a case they had turned away last year.
Their reply was to let them know the name of the company and would await my reply before they take further action! Will keep you posted.
Thought I could patiently wait til the end of June to see if Picture were in Default by then but today am really really fed up with waiting!!!!!!DS1 12/10/04

Hi Pammie, thanks for clarifying this lol.
It seems this may be the way that Ocean deal with their complaints then, give them 8 weeks as from the date on the letter, try to contact them before the 8 weeks are up if you hear nothing, if they do not respond at all them move on to the FOS, they will take over this complaint for you.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Really fed up and bored with this all now. I posted on here about 3 months ago that When FOS started investigating one of my cases against Egg that Egg said that they would settle up as a good will gesture. I was told that they would work out the payment and contact me within 12 weeks. That was up a couple of weeks ago and still nothing yet. The other case against Egg was upheld by FOS who wrote to Egg. Egg have basically ignored FOS and not replied. Got a call from FOS last week who said that they have to give the case to the Ombudsman to make a ruling. They weren't able to say how long that whole process takes..does any one know and has anybody had a similar experience where the bank refuses to reply to the FOS. I didn't think that were allowed to!!!!:mad:0

Hi there "doingmybest", how frustrating this if for you......:mad: so sorry to hear this.
If this is being moved on to the ombudsman himself, if your in financial hardship, let them know as soon as possible, and ask if they are able to consider "fast tracking" for you.
