Sent off my first letter to Yorkshire bank a few weeks ago and in return they have sent back a form which they want me to fill in. They want to know what details I recall from when I took my loan out e.g conversation that was had, recall details etc. They also want to know what my income was at the time.
Am I obliged to fill this in as I don't really see how relevent what my salary 7 years ago is to the claim? I can't reacall exact details from a conversation that long ago.April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500 -

Hi there
The choice is yours, some write back and tell them they should still hold the information from when this was sold to you. (Unless 6 years have passed, where they may require these details).
They should still investigate by the 8 weeks they are entitled to.
Give us a yell if you get any problems and good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I have just received a four page final response letter from Lloyds TSB. Every one of my concerns has been rejected but on the very last page they say that as a gesture of goodwill that if I choose to cancel the ppi I would receive a rebate of £2326.53 but as I am a valued customer they are willing to back date my cancellation to March 09 when they first received my complaint & will refund me £3968.54 using the proportionate basis! They also go on to say that this amount will be credited to the loan account to pay off the arrears! The arrears are only for 1 months payment can they do this or can I request that they pay me back the money less the 1 month payment that is in arrears. Also if I cancel the PPI do I have to take out a new loan? I would be very grateful for any help on this0

Hi Lilygirl
Seen that you already responded on the other thread.;)
Good luck with this and there is no harm in asking for them to refund you the remainder of the refund directly to you.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Afternoon everyone.
Sent my OH's PPI reclaim letter off 4 weeks ago and only so far received the usual pre-printed letter of "we're sorry to hear about your complaint"
Do we need to send another letter and give them a shove or just wait until the 8 weeks are up then bother the ombudsman?Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

Hi there
Yes they have 8 full weeks to respond, however if you hear "nothing" at all by the 8 weeks you can then move on to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), good luck.
If they do respond by not resolving this then you should be given the opportunity to write back to ask them to reconsider, then in their final response they should give details of the FOS if you remain disatisfied with the outcome of the complaint.;)
Good luck XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Pammie
How are you?;)
So I take it this is a breakdown on how they worked these out when you settled the finance?
I may be wrong but if you settled early, I think they must add the future interest of what you would have paid if you were still paying for the loan, but don't quote me on this lol.
Marshallka I'm sure will be able to clarify all this for you, she is ACE when it comes to things like this and working out calculations.
Future charges, I have something like this and the above interest what you added on my Eneavour Case, I shall try to dig this out.
The full amount of which would be available before they work out a rebate.
Redemption fee is what you pay to come out of the agreement "I think", like a mortgage really.
But hopefully Marshallka or someone will be along to check this for you and let you know.;)XXXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I would be tempted to give them a call just before the 8 weeks is up. Just to nag them a bit!! and let them know you are considering going to the FOS.They might make you an offer and its worth a try! Good luck anyway.;)
