Hi Pammie
Wonder if they have kept any telephone conversations, you could always ask if they a copy of these they can send you, but as this was a few years ago, they may not have these.
But another way is, you can request a Subject access request) SAR, with requesting this, they should send you everything they have on you that is requested on the SAR.
Template link below.
They have 40 days to comply, but there is a charge of £10 cheque or postal order payment for this request.
Post by recorded delivery.
Sometimes you will find some useful information within a SAR which may also help and strengthern your case.

So this is paid off and they are stating because of this your unable to claim the PPI back, is this correct?
They are totally wrong if this is the case, it makes no difference whatsoever if the finance is settled or still active.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
do you think i was mis sold ppi, with the others? does this apply to credit card charges (yes most of the cards have them).
also a tricky one now.......halifax declined noting anything to do with my IVA, for 2 years they said they no nothing and have no papers or aggreed to anything, i took it to the FOS, and last week i recieved a good will £50 gester,( i acceped that), they have also CLEARED MY DEBT COMPLETELY!.
original was about £3400 but when the fos got involved it was about £4500 (interest, charges, ppi). should i claim on this one or leave alone, i'm thinking leave alone ( or am i to soft ) ?
sorry to woffel on, but i have found people to speak too, instead off queing up for hours and not getting seen (cab). thanks guysI SPOKE TO A WISE OLD MAN THE OTHER DAY.

Hi Pammie
Personally I think you have a case here and I would go for it.
Its your money and you have been out of pocket because of this, and do not worry about it.
There are PPI to reclaim and any charges, however if you want to know more on credit card charges you do this separate to the PPI, sorry to confuse you......:o
But just to make it a little easier for you..................
You can reclaim on PPI plus the interest in proportion of the PPI.
And
Credit card charges as well, for instance maybe late charges or being overcharged, but for more on credit card charges I would check this link here below:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/credit-card-charges
And for PPI reclaiming, here is the link I posted the other day:

Pammie here below is the link to the Credit Card Forums....

I would keep this separate to PPI.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

with GE MONEY we paid them early (got mortgage), and ppi finished 1 or 2 years later. (2006 i think). yes, they said we have no claim as all used up or something like that,I SPOKE TO A WISE OLD MAN THE OTHER DAY.

Yes you can, It seems they have fobbed you off.
I have made successful reclaims with settled finance.
And many on here have too.;)
How do they make that out, that you used all your claim up?
As you never made a claim?
They are trying it on, get writing to them Pammie.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Any idea if there is a way of getting a list of previous loans etc - i've thrown all trace of previous agreements away but i'm sure i'd be entitled to claim some money back on some of them. I wish i'd known then what i know now......
Thanks in anticipation to any replies - this is my 1st post
