I still have the agreement and everything so I'll go ahead and start the process. I'll let you know how I get on. I imagine it's going to be a long and difficult process as I'm dealing with HSBC!
Again, thanks for the replys!!!
With pleasure Paul.;)
You just keep at them, don't give in no matter what.;)

Hi guys and gals, my wife has a credit card PPI shes had since May 2005 on a Halifax credit card.Asked her for the paperwork and theres an agreement but she says she didnt ask for it though she not that sure. Whats the best approach for getting the PPI back ?
Also had an egg loan years ago which im sure i had PPI on even though i was a temp at the time - whats the chances of claiming anything for that.

Hi there
Here is more info with reclaim letter templates:

I would write to them giving your reasons for mis selling, they have 8 weeks to respond in full.
Another letter maybe required if they do not resolve this in your favour for you, keep on at them, in the final letter they will or should give you details on how you can take this further such as with the financial ombudsman service.
Post by recorded delivery.
Good luck.
Please post if you require further help.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Rising Joe, hope you hear by the deadline, if you don't then you are entitled to move your complaint on to the FOS.
Hope it will be good news, fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
You need to write that your wife did not request for PPI and was not aware this was being sold to her, something along those lines.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Can anyone help?/ Followed stage 1 &2 to reclaim PPI on a mort from SPML/Capstone we took out in 2003 & paid off Nov 2008. Didn't even realise we had PPI - broke every rule in the book. We actually went through a broker for mortgage, apparently its the broker who also went ahead with the PPI. Had a reply from Capstone today saying "Red Brick Financial management arranged your mortgage for you. Souther Pacific was not party to any discussion concerning the insurance policy. The responsiblity for the sale rests with the company that introduced you to SPML...." it looks like this firm no longer exist will try and track them down, but is this correct??
HELP PLEASE

Hi there
If the company no longer exists, do you know why at all?
For example, did they dissolve or maybe go into liquidation etc?
It may be a good idea to contact the financial compensation scheme (FSCS), to ask if they are listed with them.
If this is the case, the FSCS should send you out a form to complete, then you add your details about your complaint to them.
FSCS here:

Good luck and please let us know what they say.;)XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0
