The loan is over 5 years and started in june 2007. They have said in the letter that there offer consists of £278.96 as a refund, representing the payments made in respect of PPI from 9 June 2007 to 9 march 2009. it also includes interest of £23.25.
Hi,
So is the loan still active?
And do you know the actual amount of the PPI on the policy?;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

if your ppi was 760.80 over the term then that is right, the interest seems to me ( and i am no maths genius, i leave that to turbo:A) to be about right, maybe some one will put me right. by the way how have they done the remaining loan? make sure they only take it over the remaining term of 38 months
I agree amersall, its best to get the figures checked out to be sure, I'm not good at maths, that is a very sore subject for me.......:o, but like you said I'm sure they will be checked out.
I would ask them to send a full written breakdown on how they worked this out though, just in case anything is amiss.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi All,
I just wanted to pre-warn people that there is a company cold calling to make appointments to visit your home to organise this recollection of PPI fee's for you. They are called "We claim you gain". I have checked with the Justice service and they are not authorised.
Up until this call today - I had no idea I could reclaim these (I am still shocked at how much I could possibly claim). I am just about to sit and use the template letters from this site..... slighty worried it will all be a little "heavy". But hey - for a few stamps it's worth a shot.
Do we know (roughly) how long it all takes? Am I right in thinking that PPI could apply to ALL my store cards, credit cards, secured and unsecured loans?
Keep you all posted0 -

Hi there and thanks for posting this, and your right not to trust these companies.
Like Sue says you can deal with this yourself free, only maybe a cost of a stamp or 2.
You will find letter reclaim templates on here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
And useful PPI info, if you have reason to believe you were mis sold the PPI, then write to them with help from the templates on the thread posted, they have 8 weeks to respond.
Another letter maybe required if they try fobbing you off on the first response, keep on at them until you exhaust their complaint procedures.
In the final response, they should confirm how you can take this matter further if your not satisfied, such as with the financial ombudsman service (FOS) again another free service who takes over these complaints if the finance companies do not resolve these in your favour.
The final letter should confirm if eligible to take to the FOS.
If you've no paperwork, you could SAR them, but still continue to reclaim, an SAR is known as a Subject Assess Request, you can request all the info they have on you going back as far as 6 year, they have 40 days to comply.
You will find the SAR template for this on the thread as a sticky.
With all details.
If its just the agreement you require, write to them, enclose a payment of £1 postal order or cheque payment, they should supply this by 12 days of request.
As I said though, you do not actually need all the above to start your reclaim letter, just as long as you know you had PPI with the finance, but the information may come in handy later on, good luck.
Post up for further help if required.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Corobo is not regulated according to this. You were right to inform MOJ of this.:cool:0
