    Thanks Martin! Remembered I had two A&L loans that finished in 2004 and having turned the attic apart found the paperwork to send to Santander and within 3 weeks had a response offering me a tad under £1000 - not a bad return on the price of a couple of stamps. Would never have thought of doing this if it wasnt for the advice and knowledge through reading and digesting the content this site.:j Thank you so much

    Well done:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:money::money::money::money::money::D:D:D:D:D:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::T:T:T:T:T:):):):):):):)
  • Hi,

    My boyfriend had loans with LLoyds TSB which they agreed to settle and advised that payment would be made as soon as possible. They paid the interest up until the 6th February but no payment has been made yet.
    Should Lloyds TSB pay the extra interest on each day that has passed since the 6th??

    Thanks

    Hi karen don't worry, when the fos send a letter of there summing up of why they are not upholding your case they will give You the option of progressing to the ombudsman, just let them know that you want to move it on and see how you get on, sometimes it's just having a different view of things that helps, my original adjudicator turned me down as you know, then when i had a new adjudicator and the ombudsman got involved they were going to uphold it, as it happened i claimed on the critical illness element of the policy in the end, a win nevertheless, you might find the ombudsman will view this totally differently.

    I'll have a look at the letter when it comes. I can't really give them any more info to bolster my case, because it's such a long time ago. And I've been honest about everything in it. Maybe it's just because they can't simply roll over and have to challenge something ;)

    Hi to start with have a look at the links and see if you have good reasons for being misold, if it was me for such an old credit card account i'd sar them, the loan is definitely a win, credit cards are a bit different, i have done LTSB claims over the phone but i was not very successful with that route in fact they told me i had no ppi, i've since challenged that decision myself and won back on two loans and the two credit cards are in with the fos, not a very good bank for coming clean in fact i would sar them and save yourself a lot of possible aggravation with them. Only my opinion though. good luck.

    Thanks Cappo. Why do you think I should SAR them rather than just fill in the consumer questionaire and fire that off to Lloyds?

    that might be the case karen the fos are very bad with regard to cap one and reject lots of consumer complaints but it's deffo worth having a go, my second adjudicator was brilliant and cut to the chase immediately:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
  • Let me ask is it illegal to sell you your ppi policy twice,lol and not issue a new policy number keep the same policy and resell on?

    Hi, I have claims in with HSBC, The AA (through the Royal Bank Of Scotland) and NRam (Northern Rock). I phoned NRam today and they said an outcome letter has been sent to be and I should get it within 3 working days but they couldn't tell me over the telephone, do you think them not telling me over the phone is good news, bad news or no news?
  • i took out a loan in 1988/89 for £3000 to purchase my first car and remember being annoyed that i had to take out loan insurance otherwise would not have been given the loan. I do not hold any paperwork but do still have the same bank account. Can i claim this far back. Also remember having a couple of store cards that you had to have insurance on also no paperwork for these. What should i do.
    Thanks
