Thanks, I'm soooo excited :TIt's nice to be important, but more important to be nice!!0 -

Do you have no info at all regarding these accounts?,you only need reasons for mis sell and the account number,if it is a CC,then you only need the card number.
Just to let you know,a CC agreement may not show ppi being on there, most ppi is added when you activate the card.
If you think the redress on the card is not right, you must ring them and ask how they have worked this out, some only go back 6 years
if you have no statements to show ppi before this.0 -

By the end of Feb you should have an acknowledgement from them both, they then have 6 more weeks to give you a final response.
Santander are pretty quick though.0 -

this is the second final response they have given me lol! I told them exactly what you have said but they seem to think I still fit the criteria, so FOS it is......just means when i do win they will have to pay me more interest as i just paid off the balance lol :rotfl:
Fingers crossed.0 -

So I should have some form of an offer by end of March at least??It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice!!0 -

Hi everyone, I have have a read on some of the posts here and its all a bit over my head at the moment. I am wondering if I have any case for claiming PPI back.
I have a LloydsTSB Mastercard. I have had it for years, over ten I would say and quite possibly longer and I have noticed that I am paying PPI on it. As I have had the card for so long, I have no idea if at the time if I agreed to taking this out or if in fact was aware I was taking PPI out.
Do I have a case and whats the best way forward for me?
Also, in the past (probably about ten years ago) I had a loan with Lloyds TSB which I think ended around 2005. I think it was for about £5,000 and no doubt I had insurance on that. Is this something I can claim back also?
Any advice and guidance really appreciated.0 -
Thanks Martin! Remembered I had two A&L loans that finished in 2004 and having turned the attic apart found the paperwork to send to Santander and within 3 weeks had a response offering me a tad under £1000 - not a bad return on the price of a couple of stamps. Would never have thought of doing this if it wasnt for the advice and knowledge through reading and digesting the content this site.:j Thank you so much0

Hi to start with have a look at the links and see if you have good reasons for being misold, if it was me for such an old credit card account i'd sar them, the loan is definitely a win, credit cards are a bit different, i have done LTSB claims over the phone but i was not very successful with that route in fact they told me i had no ppi, i've since challenged that decision myself and won back on two loans and the two credit cards are in with the fos, not a very good bank for coming clean in fact i would sar them and save yourself a lot of possible aggravation with them. Only my opinion though. good luck.
