Hi, I'm hoping someone can advise me on what i need to do now re: ppi reclaiming. Last august we moved house and got rid of any paperwork that was 5 years old and over. I've gone through my bank statements online tonight going back to 2002. I have had 6 loans between then and 2010. All I have is the dd details, no account numbers
They're with Cahoot, Abbey National, Black horse and Lombard bank. How would I go about getting the info I need, do i contact my bank or the lenders? Also will now having a different address make my claim invalid?
Thanks for taking the time to read this Lozziej
Your old address is what you use to find info and put a claim in,the new address is what you give them to send responses to.0 -

Hi
I am trying to reclaim my ppi insurance but have come against a problem and hope you can help.
I have got my credit report from equifax but on my credit agreements page, it only shows the last 4 digits of my account numbers. I therefore think the loan company will not supply the information i need without my full account number details.
Can you please give me some advice how to get my full account number. I have tried to contact equifax for an answer, but because i have used my 30 day free trial and dont want to pay a monthly subscription, i can’t contact them.
Thanks for your help

After reading a lot of posts over the last couple of days, I have finally decided to take the plunge and try and retrieve some of my PPI payments.
I have a personal loan with Santander/Cahoot (ends April this year,) and 2 no. credit cards (Cap 1 & Nationwide)
I have checked statements, and have confirmed I am definately paying PPI on all 3 items (all dating back to 2006 time.)
I have to be honest, I don't know if I requested PPI on any of them, but if I have, I suspect I would have (without really thinking about it,) agreed to include them to ensure my application was accepted (as you do!!)
So far, I have :
1/ Lodged a phone complaint with Santander, indicating that I was informed that taking PPI would improve my chances of being accepted
They have raised as a complaint and advised 8 weeks for decision
2/ Sent secure email to Capital One requesting copies of my original T&C's and application/acceptance documentation
I have received email indicating these will be sent out in next week or 2
3/ Sent secure email to Nationwide requesting copies of my original T&C's and application/acceptance documentation
I am a 100% newbie at this sort of thing, so I would appreciate any feedback as to whether or not I should be doing anything else in the meantime, or would you suggest approaching it differently?
Or I suppose my main question is, do you think this is a non-starter?
Any assistance would be warmly received0 -

Hi icmelerlovers,
The first bit is your loan and what it costs you, the second bit is Optional PPI and what it costs you, the third is the overall cost of the loan if you took the PPI with it.
This is upfront PPI which is frowned upon (a loan within a loan) and is the most upheld type of PPI, provided you have a valid reason to believe it was mis soldSuccesses
