Probably been answered before so sorry.
Had an offer on C Card PPI. They just use last 6 years records to work out the average payment over the time.
If i do a SAR will i be able to get records covering the whole 19 year period i had the card for and potentially been paying the PPI on?
Thanks
Hi jk which bank/lender is this?0 -
Barclaycard
Hi Jk as far as i know barclays are complying with sar requests, i don't know what they are like timewise although they have 40 days so yes i'd put one in some of the other banks are getting a bit lax about these requests now. you can try going back and ask them specifically to go back the full term but unfortunately a lot of them are trying it on with this 6 year rule on closed accounts but it's worth a try.0 -
Hi can anyone give me some advice. My mum who is disabled was sold PPI on loans in 2003 and 2008. They have now been paid off. We wrote to her bank, Nat West, who say that they no longer have the paperwork because the loans have been paid off and gave us an address we had to write to in order to obtain copies of the agreements and to send them a cheque for £10 which we did in December 2011. To date we have not even received an acknowledgement in spite of sending a chase up letter requesting a reply. Is this usual or is there a further body we can write to to get things speeded up. The address we have written to is Data Protection Manager, Nat West Bank Business House B, 2nd Floor, Gogarburn, PO Box 1000, Edinburgh EH12 1HQ. We have no phone number so any advice would be gratefully received. Thank you.0

Hi sjp go back to them and quote that under the data protection laws they only have 40 days to comply with the data protection act 1998 not 3 months, i would mention reporting them to the independent commissioners office or ico for a breach of the act that (should) get them moving.0 -
Thanks Cappo, I'll type a letter now.0

Thanks Cappo, I'll type a letter now.
Good idea they are clearly in the wrong here they should with the right persuasion sort your sar our for you, see the link below for a little more ammunition before you start writing, good luck.

Hi
I am trying to reclaim my ppi insurance but have come against a problem and hope you can help.
I have got my credit report from equifax but on my credit agreements page, it only shows the last 4 digits of my account numbers. I therefore think the loan company will not supply the information i need without my full account number details.
Can you please give me some advice how to get my full account number. I have tried to contact equifax for an answer, but because i have used my 30 day free trial and dont want to pay a monthly subscription, i can’t contact them.
Thanks for your help

Could someone put up the link to the SAR letter please?0
