but i will fight it all the way , because if your told by the advisors you have to have it to help your credit , and because my main banking was with another bank ,
i will be my luck i have to fight it all the way ,
im waiting for response from hailfax now for similar ppi . not doen a questionaire ( i will ask for input on here first :rotfl:)
Like I say don't worry about not mentioning it, my first complaint I overlooked a number of reasons and it was upheld without a fight. If it is turned down (it may not be) you have a strong second argument to go back to them with which normally gets the desired resultSuccesses

Hi karen don't worry, when the fos send a letter of there summing up of why they are not upholding your case they will give You the option of progressing to the ombudsman, just let them know that you want to move it on and see how you get on, sometimes it's just having a different view of things that helps, my original adjudicator turned me down as you know, then when i had a new adjudicator and the ombudsman got involved they were going to uphold it, as it happened i claimed on the critical illness element of the policy in the end, a win nevertheless, you might find the ombudsman will view this totally differently.0 -
Hi guys - I received 6 offers from RBS last week - totalling £4900. I'm very happy with this offer and have returned thier forms. I spoke to an RBS PPI advisor before returning their acceptance form to ask how they pay and how long it would take and was told currently they are paying within 5 days of reciept of acceptance form - I can't believe this is right - is it????
just wondered what other RBS customers have expereinced lately.
I'm not counting any chickens until that money is in the bank :-D all seems to good to be true xx
Hi eweasel... May I ask how long ago you made your first contact with RBS? Both me and my husband made our phone calls to reclaim PPI towards the end of January and boy does the 8 week wait feel like it's going slow! I know we must be patient but just wondering how long your wait was before getting a decision?DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

Hi people first post on here and thought would let people know what im trying to do and see peoples thoughts.
back in 2000 took egg loan out and was forced to take ppi, then i 2002 replaced with second loan for new car and pay of old loan and ppi surprise was refused loan on phone if didnt have the ppi insurance at same time.
Now having checked the policy numbers and dates the !!!!!!s sold me my policy twice for ppi would appear that the first policy was for a 5 yr period so when i purchased the second loan they just resold it again, and never covered the loan period!!.
And since i had medical issues before and during the first loan period i could never of claimed on the policy and the policy should of been changed to represent the medical issues and never was. i never claimed or tried.
The letter was sent yesterday to egg for reclaiming and listing the reasons why so wait and see.

1/ Lodged a phone complaint with Santander, indicating that I was informed that taking PPI would improve my chances of being accepted
They have raised as a complaint and advised 8 weeks for decision "
Just taken a call from Santander this morning, expecting to be asked lots of questions.....but lo and behold, they have upheld my complaint and will be paying all premiums + 8% interest + compensation within 8 weeks.
Not bad for a 2 minute phone call yesterday!!!! :j
Now onto Capital One & Nationwide!!!0 -
