Personally I would view Vanquis AS BEING STUPID.

    Send them a letter
    Vanquis Bank Limited
    Customer Action Team
    PO Box 399
    Chatham
    ME4 4BR

SAY ---- YOUR PHONE DOES NOT WORK

    Thanks Beamerguy

Ive given up trying to contact them by phone, so I have decided to write back again to them, they were quite quick dealing with the late payment charges that they had applied to my account, its just now getting hold of them thats the problem!!!!! Very frustrating!!!!

    Hi there,

Today ive recieved the following letters:
1 from Black Horse regarding 3 claims (lets call them A,B and C)
asking would i fill out a questionnaire which only contained B's agreement number and is 6 sheets long .
    • My question is why do I need to do with again when I first raised a claim I sent them the questionaire. The one they have sent back is asking questions like how much savings did I have at the time etc ·
I originally sent them the following:
Individual FOS questionnaire for each agreement
    · Any correspondence between Chartered Trust/Black Horse and myself.
    · Bank Statement showing PPI being taking out of my bank
    · Their PPI policy terms and conditions.

Also got a letter from Royal Bank of Scotland asking for more information as I did not supply the policy number. They have asked me to please provide them with more information to locate the policy. Appropiate information can include policy numbers, amount, start dates, end dates, copies of statements, and other supporting documentation......
    • Grr on my intitial email (yes along with the FOS questionaire and a covering letter I supplied the following, 2 bank statements showing the amounts and dates, credit report showing start date, end date and amount....what more do they want blood!

Sorry im just having a rant as it seems they seem keen to send anything back!

  • Hi all,

Apologies for no doubt repeating entries already posted but would appreciate some advice as I start my journey to reclaiming PPI from my credit cards.

Firstly I dont know if Ive had PPI on all my cards in the past and some cards have changed eg Morgan Stanley to Barclaycard. So for cards that have changed do I send letters to the current card provider as for some I cant remember exactly who the initial provider was!!!

I only have statements from the past 3-4 years for all cards as Im in a reduced payment plan now and more organised but before this I have none so do I need statements from the start of my agreement to see if PPI was being paid???

Is it a SAR letter I need to send???

All advice welcome, thanks in advance.

Hi there,do any of the statements you have show a ppi payment,if ppi was on there, this will be taken each month.

    You can do a SAR

Dont forget to enclose a cheque for £10 for each bank.

You send letters to whoever gave you the card initially,if they have been passed over, they will let you know.

Do you need a account number or anything when you request a SAR?

This is sometimes the case,as they were not the initial provider, they can only give you info they have on you,you have to hope the original provider sent all your details over.

hi i took out a £5000 loan with tesco in 2008, repaid it in 24 months and of course had PPI, i think...i cant exactly remember i had unticked the box when i done the online application but then when i had the phone call to confirm the loan i was 'influenced' that PPI was a good idea...i cant find any of my paperwork but i do remember i was paying back £269 a month...is it worth claiming back my money. how much do you reckon i might get back? what do i do from now?

so i received the terms and conditions back from tesco...turns out i had ticked the box on the paperwork and signed it...however i do remember unticking it online...then receiving a phone call from them and them telling me about the payment protection and that they're sending the paperwork out to me to sign...does this mean i no longer have a claim?
