PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi, this is another of Bob Diamonds JERKS as he puts it.
I would be very enclined to contact the person whose agreement it is so they are fully aware that Barclays have disclosed their information to you which as you say is a breach of the Data Protection Act. You may also like to inform the Information Commissioner as they will fine banks for breach of the act.
In the meantime go back to Barclays and demand your copy, then go ahead and claim every penny back from these JERKS
And the biggest jerk of them all is diamond0 -
Hello
Have started the process of claiming against Barclays for PPI that was mis-sold as part of their Select product.
I have had this product since Nov 1998 and do have all the paperwork that was issued by Barclays over the years.
I do NOT have a form where I was offered PPI OR accepted PPI so I believe it was not something I had a choice about.
I wrote to Barclays as advised on the MoneySavingExpert site and awaited a response.
Yesterday I received the response:
The letter from Barclays Ops Manager said that the Consumer Credit Act did not require that they provide the signed Original form of the credit agreement and that was their policy ...
They funny thing was they included an original signed credit agreement but not for me!
it was belonged to a different customer (!) AND for a different Product (!) AND from a different year!!!
I am shocked and amazed at the incompetence.
The customer who's data I was sent is now entitled to compensation due to this breach of the Data Protection Act.
I do wonder was my document sent to someone else ...
Anyone come across this situation before?
Slightly off topic but ... Shocking!

Hi tim anything is possible with these banks, i'm afraid they have totally lost the plot now.0 -
MPs call for stronger financial regulation

THE FSA HAS LOST THE PLOT AS WELL
"Treasury Committee chairman Andrew Tyrie says: "The plain fact is that the FSA did not succeed in protecting consumers from spectacular regulatory failures"
AND THE BANKS ARE USING THE FOS TO DELAY PAYMENTS
"The Financial Ombudsman Service is expecting to have to clear up a record number of PPI cases this year and has said it is "disappointing" that a significant number of consumers are still waiting for businesses to tackle their complaints."
Why on earth don't the FSA and FOS GET TO GRIPS WITH THE BANKS AND START ISSUING VERY HEAVY FINES AGAINST THE BANKS who are using them as a piblic convienience ?
I note the lady from the FOS who starting posting here has vanished, yet another waste of space folks0 -

Assuming she really was from the FOS that is ???
It's overwhelmed mate because these cretin bankers have found a loophole to delay payments, the extra costs the FOS are facing should be passed back to the banks as fines0 -

I know the fos are talking about putting case fees up from 01/04/12 which might start deterring some of the banks from pushing complaints out to the fos and using them as there complaint resolution service which is exactly what they are doing at the moment, 850 quid a time might start deterring them.0 -

As Vanquis have not appeared here much, decided to explore about them.
Owned by Provident Financial Group they have a very poor track record and everyone should read this article
