Well, HSBC were as good as their word, they said payment would be made within 10 working days of receipt of the acceptance from, and it was!! :j:j:j £5,510.00 :eek:
I am sending HUGE thanks to ALL of you here who advised and encouraged me, I was very unsure of doing this as I thought it would be long-winded and complicated, but it wasn't - just the one form & sit back and wait.
Thank you all, I'm so pleased, and please keep up the fantastic job you do on this forum - without it, I would definitely not have put in a claim.

Thanks Capp, what a joke though
"Among the courses it offers, from around £75 per person for a half day, are improvisation classes and lessons in clowning."
DON'T THINK LLOYDS STAFF NEED TO BE TAUGHT ABOUT CLOWNING, THEY ARE ALREADY CLOWNS FROM THE CEO TO THE TEA LADY (no change their then):rotfl:
HI, I'M YOUR NEW LLOYDS BANK MANAGER0 -

I have quiet a few PPIs with loans, I have just recived a letter from Barclaycard stating that because I took out my credit card before January 2001, I have no refund, and I cant take it to FOS.
Argos have also written back to me stating that because I took it out before January 2005, I have no refund and nor can I take it to FOS.
Please can you tell me if there is any way I could get these guys to pay up, as Im preety certain after reading these forums that I have been mis-sold.
Hi, it does not matter when you took these out, if there was a protection insurance attached, see the list below, you could have been defrauded. Fraud has no time limit. Look at this list and even if one is applicable to you, email/write to the CEO CLAIMING FRAUD, you will amazed at the reaction.
Amazed at Barclays, the word of the CEO Bob Diamond actually means nothing, he now falls in the "low life" league as Stephen Hester of the RBS, AND ..... Antonio Osario CEO of Lloyds now on sick leave suffering stress :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
*Did YOUR BANK explain the full cost of the PPI when you took out the loan?
*Did you specifically ask YOUR BANK for PPI?
*Did YOUR BANK make clear that PPI was optional?
*Did YOUR BANK ask you about your medical history?
*Did YOUR BANK ask you about any existing payment cover?
*Did you know that YOUR BANK added a PPI policy to your loan?
*Do you think YOUR BANK treated you fairly?
*Did YOUR BANK ask if you have any existing medical conditions?
*Did YOUR BANK ask if you were entitled to sick pay from your employer?
If you answered no to any one of the above you could be owed thousands of pounds
Do not be afraid of accusing your bank of fraud if you believe they committed fraud against you0 -

That's very interesting scenario with barclaycard cos they just agreed to pay me just under 5 grand and my card was from 1995, send them a very stern direct letter dont give in......IF HIND SIGHT WAS FORESIGHT WOULD I STILL NEED TO GO TO THE OPTICIANS???0 -

Barclays CEO: 'No jerks' rule at bank
"LONDON -- Barclays Chief Executive Bob Diamond says he has imposed a "no jerks" rule for the U.K. bank.
In an interview with The Times newspaper, Diamond says the rule applies to bankers considered to be prima donnas, too greedy, too ostentatious or failures as team players.
Saturday's newspaper quoted him as saying that between 30 and 40 Barclays employees have been encouraged to find other jobs for violating the standard.
Diamond said it doesn't matter how good they are as bankers if they "can't behave with their colleagues." He cited an infamous 2002 episode during which six Barclays bankers ran up a 44,000 pound ($68,940) alcohol tab at a London restaurant as embarrassing and "the no jerk rule personified."
The CEO has been criticized himself for his lavish pay, earning 6.75 million pounds last year."
One must assume that the "No jerks' rule at the bank" will also apply to the "pleb" staff that are handling fraudulent mis-sold PPI's ?????
WAKE UP MR DIAMOND
HUSH, I'm Bob Diamond, don't tell my staff I think they are JERKS0 -
I last posted that I had won my claim for PPI with Welcome finance for £1200, well they have now informed us that they are paying us a further £900 pounds!!! Can't believe it...shocked!
However, our claim against Blackhorse has been sent to the Ombudsmun and we have to wait 3 wks due to the high demand for their services
On a happier note, I helped a friend with his claim for Mortgage PPI and he has won over £9000!!0 -
