Hello guys, just helping a friend with a complaint form for a loan from 07. He told the salesman at the meeting for loan he had a back problem, not long after that started hospital treatment and still receives it. They didn't say anything about it though. Would this be a reason for miss sell? Many thanks0

Good news I emailed the CEO of the Halifax. The next day I got a phone call from them and he said he would chase up my claim. The next week I phoned and he said he would try to fast track it. 2 days later I got a cheque for £901 for cc, couple of days later I got a cheque for £3285 for a loan so I'm gonna have a nice christmas and thank you to all who have helped me with suggestions cos this has taken since May. If it will help any one this is the name and phone number of the guy that helped me Simon on 012446962610 -
HI all
Just a quick question. I had my loan through First Plus and paid everything to them, yet I have just checked the policy for the PPI and it says it was underwritten by Barclays (Northern Ireland eek) - Do I put my claim to First PLus or to Barclays or to both?Hoping 2015 will be a better year0 -
i've just called NRAM about for the form i returned to them at the end of October after they wrote to me and i'm told it will take at least 10 weeks, is this the norm?
thanks0 -
I agree with dilus, you may open up a can a worms and lose your claim. just enjoy what they are sending you
Well, HSBC were as good as their word, they said payment would be made within 10 working days of receipt of the acceptance from, and it was!! :j:j:j £5,510.00 :eek:
I am sending HUGE thanks to ALL of you here who advised and encouraged me, I was very unsure of doing this as I thought it would be long-winded and complicated, but it wasn't - just the one form & sit back and wait.
Thank you all, I'm so pleased, and please keep up the fantastic job you do on this forum - without it, I would definitely not have put in a claim.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had problems with Capital One?
I sent off a letter with a £1 cheque to request the original T&C from when I opened my credit card with them as I honestly dont know if there was PPI or not. The account is now closed and I didnt keep any information on it.
Last week I received a letter from Capital One stating that they had no obligation to send me this information, but have gone ahead and cashed my £1 for this service.
I then received a further letter a few days later stating that there was no PPI on the account.
Like I said, I honestly dont know if there was PPI, but I know I was paying quite a lot each month, most of which hardly reduced my balance at all.
I know I was chancing my arm by trying to reclaim PPI, but i feel they are chancing their arm that I wont follow it up and the fact that they didnt send me the T&C as requested.
Has anyone got any advise on what I should do next?
Thanks,
Linz.0 -
My partner phoned Arnold Clark about her loan with them, taken out 2003, and has been told that they destroy all paperwork after 6 years and so have no information at all on her loan even though it was still active 4 years ago.
Any advice on next steps to take would be welcome.0 -
Despite contacting David Chan the CEO of Barclays customer service, no progress for about 4 weeks now. As original claim was made in June, I am going to proceed with a complaint to the Ombudsman.
However, my Barclaycard debt was "sold on" to a finance company and I have an arrangement in place to make monthly payments. Does this mean if I get PPI refund that the money will be sent to the finance company or to me? If anyone can answer I will be very grateful.
ThanksGrowing old disgracefully!0 -
