  • My hubby just got an offer of £1600 for a TSB Loan in was taken out in 1995, but they have made no mention to the previous loan that was topped this one up..
I have sent them a copy of the paperwork and its actually on their headed paperwork saying top up of previous loan.

Do i accept this or write to them again to ask for all 4 loans (from 1990, 1992, 1994 and 1995)to be looked into although we only have the last loan agreement and the top up paperwork?

Any advise as always gratefully received

Hi lisa just remind them about the fsa ruling in the open assessment 10/12 about looking into all loans now not only the ones there told about. It is there responsibility to tell you not the other way round although you could help them out a bit lol
  • Hi All
Just found all paperwork out so that i can write to LTSB and I found a document called personal loan cross sales checklist
it has everything listed and 3 boxes for ticks, a YES, NO and N/A

    EXISTING MORTGAGE DETAILS OBTAINED
    REMORTGAGE PACKAGE DISCUSSED
HOME INSURANCE CONTENTS RENEWAL DATE OBTAINED
    " " BUILDINGS " " "
    PENSION DETAILS OBTAINED PAST
    " " " PRESENT
    REFERRED TO SIA

    THEN IT GETS INTERESTING

IF PLPI NOT REQ'D-RE-INTERVIEWED BY MANAGER/SECOND OFFICER
    IF PLPI NOT TAKEN-PII DISCUSSED
    MOTOR INSURANCE QUOTE GIVEN
    IF YES QUOTE REF NUMBER
    CBT APPLICATION DISCUSSED
    REFINANCING OF OTHER BORROWING DISCUSSED

    LENDING OFFICERS SIGNATURE

Just shows the pressure put on people to take out PPI!!!

    Hi all

i am new to this noticed post re above - my husband has been knocked back by Barclays for his credit card PPi which he had with morgan stanley can you advise how you appealed on this please

    thank you

I applied a few weeks back for a barclaycard, they said no, because the last one I had I hadn't kept within the T&C's. that was because I had struggled to pay and went on a repayment programme with them, then paid it off when I remortgaged. Anyway, slightly miffed by their decision, I thought I would chance my arm and complain about PPI being added to my card when I had it. To be honest wasn't sure I had paid any, but what the heck. Put in complaint and within a day or two had a response saying they couldnt find me as a customer, even more miffed, I emailed the CEO, heehee, two days later had an email with apology saying they had found my account and would pass it on to the complaints team. Two days later had a letter from the complaints team saying please send back your original complaint as we no longer have a copy.
Pretty peed off at this point, so, along with my complaint a full page letter describing the scenario so far and letting them know that I wasn't happy and that I was not impressed at their attempts to delay or put me off..........
This was 5 weeks ago, today I received a four page response detailing everything I had listed, with apologies and have upheld my complaint to the tune of £4884.00.
I have to say it has been over 25 years since I attempted a back flip, but I have done at least 5 since I read the letter (not a nice sight I might add).

THE MESSAGE IS NEVER GIVE UP...............:rotfl:
IF HIND SIGHT WAS FORESIGHT WOULD I STILL NEED TO GO TO THE OPTICIANS???

  • Hi all
Good news I emailed the CEO of the Halifax. The next day I got a phone call from them and he said he would chase up my claim. The next week I phoned and he said he would try to fast track it. 2 days later I got a cheque for £901 for cc, couple of days later I got a cheque for £3285 for a loan so I'm gonna have a nice christmas and thank you to all who have helped me with suggestions cos this has taken since May. If it will help any one this is the name and phone number of the guy that helped me Simon on 01244696261
  • Hi lisajayne and thanks for coming in on my post. Were your 4 numbers on one account or more than one ? They have only offered on one of the numbers, a visa card, but I also had a mastercard with them.............
