Hello just joined so please bare with me.
I've had 3 PPI misselling claims against 3 different credit card companies.
Tesco settled and paid upI was told the amount I would get from MINT but I've just found out they've credited the money to my credit card even though it's closed ie. no longer used and cut up and not paid to me by cheque and my Barclaycard claim is with the Ombudsman.
I don't understand why Tesco paid me direct but MINT won't/hasn't.
I have a financial arrangement with MINT and TESCO whereby I pay them back at £1 per month but the cards are stopped and Barclaycard has written off the debt (due to long standing health problems - I did write to the others via the CAB but no-one other than Barclaycard replied!).
There is a pertinent sentence in the letter I get from MINT which says - "This money will be automatically credited to your card balance. If however your card is no longer active we will send you a cheque".
I suppose my question is, have I got a good chance of getting the money MINT owes me sent to me via a cheque? I have spoken to the Ombudsman and they're going to open a case re. this situation.
Anyone else in this position?
Cheers, Roger0 -

Hi roger and welcome to the forum, i'm afraid if you have any arrears with mint unfortunately they are within there rights to take any redress in lieu of payment, i might be wrong but i think you'll find that even if you have a payment arrangement they will apply this payment to what you owe them, sorry to be the bearer of sad tidings but on a more positive note you will at least reduce what you owe them.0 -
hi panda eyes i email ceo asking them to look at my complant and asking for a copy of agreement got a letter yesterday they are now upholding my complant0

Hiya, many thanks for the reply.
It just seems strange that Tesco paid me direct. I owed similar amounts on both cards.
I think it sucks that MINT can do what they want with my money, surely it's up to me how I spend it, they did the misselling!
Originally Tesco credited my credit card with two months worth of missed payments but I managed to get that back by explaining that I had a financial arrangement set up with them ie. £1 per month.
