This may be tricky, give Lloyds a ring and see if they can find your account,if they cant request all info they hold on you and this will cost you £10,as this is 9 years ago they may have no data now though,it is worth a try.

If you paid this loan by DD, if you have internet banking, look at your DD list, the payment details may still be there,if they are you have the account number.

What proof do you have that you paid ppi? this may help.
Look here for reasons for mis sell

I have the loan reference number as well as statements showing a single amount deducted for the loan. The annual statement I received from 2000 shows loan amount £275 (per month) with "covered by loan protection? - yes".

As such I am about to send off to lloyds and try and reclaim.
    Fingers crossed!?!?

Hi , I remember having a loan with this outfit, maybe 10 years ago, has anybody ever made a successfull claim against them ?
I believe they where owned by Barclays but all my efforts to trace them have been unsuccessfull.

We phoned for an update last week, as there 16 weeks is up tomorrow he quoted all ref numbers from their letters to be told that they couldn't identify him so they couldn't talk to him!!

  • Hello,

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place and my apologies if I'm not. I was a little confused about how to start a new post. I am trying to see if I was charged PPI from around 7 or 8 different companies over the last 8 years. I have had several different insurance, loan and credit polices over the years. I wrote to all the companies with the letter template on here and included the standard £1 cheque. However, for the bulk of the companies I didn't have my account number. 2 of the companies have written back to me returning my cheque saying my account is now closed and they are not required to give me my credit agreement. The 2 companies are DFS and Studio catalogue. I believe it's possible they may have mis-sold me PPI and I'm a little suspicious now as to why they won't give me my credit agreement. I noticed on the information site that you can send a cheque for £10 to get your full history and credit agreement with a company. Does anyone have a letter template I can send to do this? Has anyone been mis-sold PPI with DFS or Studio around 2003/2004?

    Thanks and regards.

    Faye
  • Just a thought..... If most claims go back 6 years ie 2012-2006,
then when we reach 2013 would we be only able to go back to 2007:(

I would think that will be the case, the banks probably can't wait for New Years Day to bury as much as possible in a big hole somewhere :)
If you have any other complaints, get them actioned ;)
