  • Hi
I have my case for an M and S credit card with the FOS. the card was taken out in 1994 which was before they were registered. The FOS can pursue the case if they know the original underwriters. I would be really grateful if anyone has a policy from around that time and could give me any details from it. Or if anyone has had success from claiming back to then.
Still waiting for Loyds TSB cheque 9 and a half weeks now, but I am on a spreadsheet! which was updated last Wednesday.
I have had success with American Express, Santander, HFC and HSBC

Thanks amersall. One more question, how do you tell if the PPI on the loan was front loaded?.

    Hi karmawitch,
It will be on statements as a single amount (one repayment figure each month for the whole loan), not separate. And on the original agreement there may not be any breakdown just a lump sum figure thrown on at the beginning of the loan. Don't forget if it is front loaded you have paid interest on the PPI too, might be worth mentioning as some banks pay it back but lots don't. I mentioned it and got it back from Sainsbury's/BOS ;)
    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)

    Hey All,

Advice required please. Captial One have got back to me and no PPI is marked as requested on the agreement. However, I've heard/read of Captial One adding PPI despite what the agreement says. Would it be worth writing to them asking them to investigate to be on the safe side?

Also, with my MBNA Virgin CC, the 'YES' to PPI box has not been marked but the work 'Yes' has been typed into the box. Again, would it be worth asking them to investigate this as well?

    Thanks in advance.

    Bump.

Any advice, particularly the first bit regarding Capital One?
  • How long should it take to recieve a response to the first letter? It's been over a week now and I have heard nothing nor have I received my requested statements.

    Some advice please.

Have 3 Lloyds loans ppi refunds, 1 received 2 'pending'!!

I am now wondering whether I should/could go back to them re earlier loans.

I had the numbers of the 3 they are refunding, the earliest started 2003. No info before that but definitely had loans going back a lot further.

Am I being stupid thinking I could open another complaint? Is it too late, too long ago? Any advice gratefully received.:)

As amersall says go for it, i had LTSB go back with my loans to 1995 so definitely worth a try.

Thanks, I am definitely going to give it a go...shame memory doesnt go back that far!! But I know I have been paying money on loans for around 20 years! Stupid or what.
Do you think I should do the SAR to get all details or will that also not go back before 2003?
