hi, I have received a final settlement for my ppi on my credit card from h.s.b.c for the the last six years, if I sign this as a final settlment is it just for the six years or for the duration of the card, because I started my card in 1992 is it worth chasing them for the rest of the years. ps, I am new to this forum so please be patient with me. thanks0

Email the CEO Robert Diamond robert.diamond@barclaysplc.com
Remind him of his statement "no quibble" refunds

Ask Diamond why he said this as it's simply not true.
You must be hard with BARCLAYS and do not put up with their rubbish, in my view ....BOB DIAMOND LIED TO THE MEDIA AND CONSUMERS

Hi colleen don't sign anything without finding out whether they are willing to go back beyond the 6 years, this is what HSBC try to do now they are only paying out backdated amounts over 6 years, i'm having this with this bank and i've disputed this 6 year "ruling" the fos recommendation is that HSBC reconstruct the previous years they claim are missing and base them on average previous years premiums.0 -
Thanks Cappo should I write them a letter asking them to look further back to my original date of signing, they have sent me a copy of the original form (mainly blank) when the H.S.B.C was the Midland bank.0

Yes colleen do that, as i say i'm having this trouble now and i'll be calculating average premiums myself if HSBC will not give me the updated information they will fob you off with a lower payment if they can, you could also if you like give the fos a call and ask there advice.0 -
