Hi guys!
I'm new to all of this so please excuse me
Just a question, my parent's credit card statements dating from this year to all the way back in 09 (Lds TSB) say "payment protection cover" - I assume this is a.k.a PPI?

I originally sent my complaint in around May 9 and I got a reply to say they were dealing with it. I then got a letter that told me how they were going to work everything out and if I agreed to sign and send in the form which I did on 23 Aug. That is the last I have heard from the Halifax I had PPI on 2 loans and a cc. I keep ringing them but like everybody can't get any joy from these idiots on the phones . They won't give me any phones numbers or email addresses the only people I can contact are the fos. Has any-one got a phone number for the Halifax so I can kick them up the !!! and get them working.0

That is a very long time to wait!
You could contact your local MP if your not getting anywhere with them, explain the situation and ask if they will write/contact the bank on your behalf.
Also ask them to keep you posted and to send you copies of letters sent and received.
Good luck, keep at them.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Lisa
Comet is still active I thought? But I take it they banked with GE was it?
If so then it would be Santander. x
Was this a loan? xThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi angel it is down to the bank to disprove it not you quote them the fsa handbook regulations where it says the consumer should not be disadvantaged by not having any paperwork i have quoted this to HSBC myself.
Thank you so much!
Can you tell me where this is stated in the fsa regs please? I want to quote it to hsbc but need to make sure i get the wording right!
Thanks again!!:beer:0 -
