Hi there
Then yes do write to them and enclose a "copy" of the letter to enclose with the reclaim complaint questionnaire.
Head office or complaints dept.
Reclaim questionnaire below as shown on step 3, save a copy as well, good luck.

I had two loans, one ended within 6 yrs the other ended earlier. Sent them an SAR and they sent statements for the loan that ended within 6 years but said they no longer hold documentation either in physical storage or on computer systems due to the age of these loans.
I sent a PPI complaint for both loans as I am relatively sure back then I would have been naiive enough to have taken PPI out. They replied saying they can confirm I never had any PPI on either loan.
How can they CONFIRM this if they no longer hold any documentation due to the age of the loans??
Any advice on what to do next? Have they done this to anyone else?
Thanks
Hi angel i'd take this with a pinch of salt the banks will tell you anything to shake you off the track, i'd keep pressing this, i was told for 6 months that i never had any ppi on any loans or credit cards by LTSB they've now upheld 2 loans no ppi eh.0 -

They are asking me to send in any proof of ppi and all documents and statements showing payments etc. Should I say I dont have anything or not?0 -

Well have emailed Mr Hester last night after receiving a third letter this week asking me into a local branch to give my photographic ID to be certified and returned to them, which I did at the beginning of the complaint, I did it on Monday too when I received the first letter, mainly because I couldn't be bothered trying to get in touch with them to argue the point, but after a third letter in 5 days, enough was enough, my 28 working days for allegedly receiving the redress being up on Tuesday I figured it was time to start emailing to complain, may as well make a mark, I've told him where I work as well, and without telling them I have made some enquiries in regards to the Fraud Act as well, so we'll see what comes of it.Thanks to all the competition posters.0

Hi angel it is down to the bank to disprove it not you quote them the fsa handbook regulations where it says the consumer should not be disadvantaged by not having any paperwork i have quoted this to HSBC myself.0 -
Hi Cappo Thanks for replying but I'm a bit confused !!!!On another thread Di says someone else to reclaim through Egg and by her reply to me today she also seems to be meaning EGG , but you are saying Barclays...or am I reading things wrong ? Sorry to be a pest !! Anne
Hi anne, Di will know more about egg than i do normally if a firm is brought out by another firm or bank that bank takes on the previous liability's but thats not always the case.0
