Hi Cappo Thanks for replying but I'm a bit confused !!!!On another thread Di says someone else to reclaim through Egg and by her reply to me today she also seems to be meaning EGG , but you are saying Barclays...or am I reading things wrong ? Sorry to be a pest !! Anne
Hiya Anne
Was to look for your post again last night........I had read some posts since posting to you that if you need to make a reclaim then send to Barclays (but make them aware the complaint is via EGG), so sorry about that, but glad you found more info on this thread.
Please accept my apologies honey, and the best of luck with yours x:A;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Well have emailed Mr Hester last night after receiving a third letter this week asking me into a local branch to give my photographic ID to be certified and returned to them, which I did at the beginning of the complaint, I did it on Monday too when I received the first letter, mainly because I couldn't be bothered trying to get in touch with them to argue the point, but after a third letter in 5 days, enough was enough, my 28 working days for allegedly receiving the redress being up on Tuesday I figured it was time to start emailing to complain, may as well make a mark, I've told him where I work as well, and without telling them I have made some enquiries in regards to the Fraud Act as well, so we'll see what comes of it.
Hi, my impression of RBS/NATWEST is that they will do anything to stall the situation. They reported a £2bn pre-tax profit.
Smart cookies, had they paid out all the PPI's on time, that would be A loss.
I wonder if within their accounts, they list their creditors (that's you and me and all the thousands of PPI claimers) Yes, we are their creditors AND, if we all called in the debts the RBS owed us, they would go bust tomorrow.
All registered companies in the UK must submit accounts that are correct and that means a full list of creditors
THINK ABOUT IT ? something you might like to query with your MP to look into.
Regardless if it's the RBS, or the local corner shop, company law is company law and false accounting can lead to prison, you have already seen this happen with the crooked MP's AND THEIR FALSE EXPENSES
You mention the fraud act (Fraud Act 2006)
All banks are in breach of this law as they lied to sell PPI policies0 -

British consumers are being ripped off by scams and frauds to the tune of almost £7 billion a year, but official arrangements to protect them are "incoherent and fragmented", a parliamentary report warns today.

Hello Everyone, i'm a newbie to this!!!
So i sent a PPI Qestionnaire to Barclays (ERGH) on the 18th July 2011, I received a response from them stating that they had received my form and I would receive a reply by the 10th November 2011. Sure enough on the 10th November 2011 I received a letter advising me that they were going to uphold my complaint/claim and offering me £2,955.53 for PPI on loans from 2003 (3 small loans) which is about right by my calculations.
Its says in the letter that it will take them a maximum of 40 days to reply...........so i phoned Barclays only to be told that i shold be receiving a second letter of redress and that they are currently going over their 40 day limit!!!
Is there anything i can do to speed them up? I'm pretty sure they'd be chasing me if i owed them nearly 3K!!
Please help!0 -

This is now fast becoming a typical story from these banks.
I think it is very obvious that they are fast running out of money and are now stalling waiting for more money to come in. YOU SHOULD VOICE YOUR CONCERNS DIRECTLY TO THE FSA
