PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

  • I had my CC complaint by MBNA refused back in the beggining of September which was their final response.

Di3004 helpped me construct an email which was sent to MBNA, who in turn replied back they were re-investigating.

Two weeks ago I called for an update and was told it has gone to the calculations department.......but today I have been sent a letter not upholding my complaint.

I called them and they said it is the final response and I can take it to the FOS.

Upon reading the letter again it says is they could reopen it if I can prove pre-existing medical history (which my doctor will write) and self employment.

I am a bit stumped proving the self employment in our family business, how do I prove that? The business was sold in 2004 so really do not know where I should start getting the relevant evidence.

They also enclosed a copy of my agreement which shows the PPI box ticked.

I have a feeling the person who told me they were calculating was just a general customer service assistant and not someone from the PPI department.

    Any advice will be appreciated.:A

I am so relieved this is all nearly over. will let you know when we get the cheque.

    Thanks again.

Di, is the elder here in terms of experience and knowledge, NOT AGE.
She is crammed full with the best information you can get, take notice of what Di says, she will help you every inch of the way

CAPPO, my old friend Cappo, will carefully guide you through what to do, give good sound advice which you should follow.

ME (Beamerguy), a highly aggressive person who says just what I think and where these crooked banks are concerned, I AM OUT FOR THE KILL and that's what I do best

We are here, and we hope to get your stolen money back for you

    Hi Sorry,

MBNA  Was the PPI policy with St Andrews, a part of Lloyds Banking Group. This policy is fraudulent as it is designed never to pay out.
    Please let me know

PS: don't take any notice of the "final response" rubbish, the only final response is when you get your refund.

These banking idiots have not clicked yet ...

WE DO NOT ACCEPT A FINAL RESPONSE WHICH IS NEGATIVE

    CHECK THIS OUT

Where does it show who managed the policy?

My card was taken out in August 1998.

OK, they say you accepted the PPI, they would have sent you the PPI policy
  • Yes they have said I ticked the box, which I can see from the agreement.

I just called MBNA and St Andrews did the PPI
