What a fantastic letter, I really hope you get a response and soon. Enjoy spending the money that is rightfully yours - have you any plans on how you would like to spend it?? Good Luck.0 -
Hi,
I'm looking for a letter that refuses their offer of refund of ppi. The bank have offered me £450 but owe me £2500. Is there a template letter for this please?:beer:0 -
Hi, I have received a letter from Capital one claiming that I "opted for payment protection insurance" on my application. When I phoned them to say that there is no way I would have done this they said it was a tick box. I said to them that this could have been done by anyone and that I have had no paperwork to suggest this has ever properly existed. How can I prove i didn't ask for it or them i did in this case?0

Hi, it does not really matter if the box was ticked, the point of this is that did a member of Capital One staff fully explain the PPI to you to ensure it fitted your circumstances
Were you send the policy with a 30 day cool off period.
Have you checked the policy to see if you were covered
You can then claim mis-sell against Capital One and request a full refund with 8% interest..
The business of ticked boxes is a myth, the FSA frown on companies making this the excuse plus ... Capital One are well know for adding PPI's without the customers permission.
They will try any excuse but stick to your guns for a refund0 -
Thanks for your response. i spoke to a woman today and all she said was that the Executive office would respond to me in writing. When I asked to speak to them she said that they were not a "customer facing department".0

It's been 4 months since I accepted their offer and I still havent had the money. They've actually stopped responding to my emails, even ones directly to the CEO
Myk I have been waiting since Mid July, and I actually got my PPI part of settlement yesterday....when I called to see when I could expect the interest bit of payment, they could not give me a timescale.
Just to let you know that your not alone, BUT it looks like they might be catching up with claims like ours that have been going on forever.
My emails to Andrea, Ian and CEO have been going unanswered for the last week too, and I dont know if it was actually just my time to get paid, my mails to Andrea etc or the part my bank manager paid in hassling them daily helped, but every little bit helps. Keep up the daily hassle and I really hope you get your money back soon.0
