Hello Di, I was over the moon to hear that Bluesteph has had ppi claim upheld by RBS and that they are also repaying ppi on a previous loan Bluesteph had with them.
I have a claim in with RBS was advised to go to the FOS last September 2010 as it was submitted before the court case and it was upheld by the FOS 2nd August this year, had a letter fom RBS two weeks ago apologising for the delay and would be hoping to make a payment within the next four weeks (RBS says they have been awarded extra time from the FOS).I paid over £4000 ppi on a loan from RBS which ran for 7 years and finished two years ago.
Di what I would like to ask you is although I knew I had a previous loan from RBS which had run its course and finished just before my next loan I didnt want to rock the boat and submit another claim before I received payment on this claim, do you think the RBS should be looking at this first loan automatically and paying me both claims,
or when I receive my refund should I start a new ppi claim? Any advice would be so helpful - I dont know why I didnt submit the two claims at the same time I must have had a senior moment - many thanks
  • Hi I wonder if anyone could give us their opinion on whether we have a case against LloydsTSB for the following, my wife took out a loan in July 2000 when she was a supply teacher which unknown to her included PPI, we only found the paperwork for the loan today and that was the first my wife knew of the PPI, it was paid off in 2005. As my wife was a supply teacher so not in regular employment when the loan was taken out surely the PPI was useless for her?

PS no comments about taking long time for LloydsTSB to payout, we have another loan that a claim has been accepted on and had offer letter on 8/9/11 and as you guess no payment yet!!

Hi Happy, firstly, if in the next two weeks, your payment does not come, chase them, RBS are using "the extra time" excuse to delay.
You will not rock the boat by claiming what is rightfully yours.

These banks are in trouble, the "sick leave" of Osorio claiming stress, the CEO of Lloyds, what do you think that is all about ?
Answer is simple, as CEO, Osorio was head of a bank he probably did not know where the next penny was coming from ..... that would cause anyone stress. This is the dilema all banks have got themselves in and has been created by their greed and fraud so don't worry about getting tough with them, escpecially the RBS/NATWEST

Hi Mike, as the weeks go by, we are learning more and more about the fraudulent activities of the Lloyds Banking Group.
You are not alone finding out that PPI has been added without your permission. Legally it is theft and fraud

Put in your claim and dont mince your words, Lloyds are turning out to be high level crooks currently with no top man

Hi I wander if anyone can give me some advice.
My 72 year old Dad Used Ismart to put through his Barclays Claim.
Barclays came back with an offer of £500. He was advised by ismart not to sign form accepting Compensation as they felt they could get more for him this occured in Sept 11. He is now recieving calls from ismart stating he owes them £150 for their fees in completion of Claim.
He had the direct number for the operator he was dealing with only to be told person had left and they did not have any records of his claim, considering that he recieved the call 5 minutes before stating he owed them money.
I wrote a letter on his behalf to complain, stating as nothing was signed he did not owe anything as he has not recieved any Compensation.
Dad recieved a call today from an operator demanding payment of their fees or they will take him to court.
My agruement is that nothing has been signed unless they have been fraudulent in signing his name.
    Can anyone help.
    Thanks
    Caring Daughter

this is not on faith call the ministry of justice who regulate these claim companies some of them are good but the vast majority are just out to rip off the public and make a quick buck, DIY is always best and incidently much quicker.

    Hello girls and boys

Hubby just had phone call from Halifax. I have telephoned my handler for the full details as he is not brilliant at the finer details. Anyway calculations done and letter in post (apparently sent 2nd class). Handler said cheque should be with us in about a week. Apparently interest added to 30 November so I asked her is that when we would get cheque and she said no it is so as to not financially disadvantage us. Grand sum to come back to us is £4938.78. (i think it should be 5.5 grand!!). Anyway some good news for once from me. Lets see if the cheque arrives - she did say to ring her back if it hadnt turned up in a about a week. I only rang yesterday to say that i was desparate as I have broken my tooth (which I have) and now need a crown. Happy Thursday people.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:D:D:D:D:D:D:):):):)

Just wanted to say thanks to Di, Cappo and Beamerguy who have given me the strength to keep going at this. You are all fantastic. I am sure I have missed people off the list for thank yous but even if you are not mentioned I do appreciate all the help and advice and even the straight talking at times. I am so relieved this is all nearly over. will let you know when we get the cheque.

    Thanks again.

Nookie, do you actually mean "Aviva" If you have a policy number with them, tell them. HOWEVER, the responsibility is with the company who sold you the policy and I assume, Great Universal or whatever name they call themselves now

PS: do you live up to your user name ???

Yeah name does my good :)

Aviva (sorry) They no we have a policy, with them, but they say waiting for info from catalogue, (god knows what ), Catalogue gave me policy, without me knowing, Aviva are the company's insurer.
Alot of going to and fro between the both of them.
