Dose anyone have a postal address for GE Capital Bank PPI complaints please?

I can't seem to find one on the net.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi there

I understand that if you have a complaint via GE, then you send to Santander and all complaints have been sent to them anyway, my son made a reclaim over a year ago to GE and the letter received was from Santander.

Just make them aware that your complaint is in regards of GE and they will investigate with the relevant pile as such, good luck and details below.

    Reclaim questionnaire step 3.

    Complaints
    Santander UK PLC
    PO Box 1125
    BRADFORD
    BD1 9PG

Post by recorded delivery and save copies of your complaint.

    Hi Colin

I found when I requested data from a SAR request, I did not receive everything from the old loan accounts from the mid 90's.
But found they did hold data in the local branch, so if you've not done so yet, call in to your local branch and ask them to go back as far as they can go and check microfiche files, they may still have some details.
So if your passing by a branch, call in, give it a shot, good luck.

Hi Di i called into my local Branch on friday and the lady at the desk told me they only have records of my details going back to year 2000!
    What are microfiche files btw??
Oh then my mate phoned me yesterday to say he had been offered £1900 for loans he took out in 1998 and 2002 so it doesn't add up.

Hi from what I know of, after 6 years, they move the data to what you call a microfiche system, if you require them for tax reasons, that is one way of getting hold of them normally, could be worth you saying this is what you require them for perhaps, just a suggestion but it may work. Below will explain more in detail.
My brother in law went as far as this and the bank suddenly found the details.

Hi collin i'm getting this from LTSB now, i've had loans upheld from 1995/97 my mate has had a credit card upheld from 1988 and is in line to get £33,000 back lucky #ugger lol. it does happen you can prove misold but you do have to be tenacious and keep pushing, LTSB had been saying for 6 months i had no ppi on any of my accounts even though i kept telling them i had, in the end they only investigated properly because i got the fos involved and have now finally admitted i had it, so stick with it.

Deffo gonna hang in and i've worked out the loans were for cars in 1994 and 1998 so bit more info to fire back at them i guess.

Contact them, and ask about this, in order to continue the reclaim.

However, as being teachers, I expect you would have already had protection in place, so you need to make them aware that you only recently realised this and if you had known when this was taken out, you would not have chosen the PPI with already being protected in your career.

No harm in trying to get further details first though, good luck.

    Thanks Di,
intending to phone to register my complaint tomorrow-just have to look up phone number and address to send my complaint.

I am sending my covering letter with loan reference, dates etc with:

    1. questionnaire
    2. Copy of loan agreement
    3. Copy of policy
    4. Copy of Direct Debit
    5. Copy of customer guide telling me “that courier will wait for 15 MINUTES giving you plenty of time to follow the simple instructions below.”

I shall use same reasons as for my Barclays claim ( single premium, teacher-didnt need it, existing medical condition) plus stating I was mislead as the adviser failed to clarify that the insurance cost would be added to the loan and I would be paying monthly interest on it.
Would this be enough? I do have several paper copies of my Barclays statements showing payment by direct debit.

Just noticed this on loan details

Out of interest Placida, was Part 2 of the credit agreement already filled in with your name and DOB by computer instead of it being left blank for you to sign!!!!! and on your statements was the re payment amount broken down into separate loan and PPI or was it just one amount?
Like you say with the statement "if you have included insurance cover blah blah blah" IF is a very big word, they simply didn't know because you wasn't asked ;)
    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)

Yes all the details were filled in by computer. I just had to read it and sign in the given 15 minutes!!

My Barclays statements shows just the one amount paid monthly to BOS. Does that make a difference to my claim?
