I have received some tax back which I have let the tax office know about, but just been informed of another 2400k from HSBC and I have also been upheld on miss sold endowment and just waiting on figures but should be about 14k so I am just completing a letter to the tax office claiming all my postage 15x £1.52, 6 X £1.23, plus ink cartridges, paper and envelopes plus I have added my time 15 claims and 6 SAR @20mins per claim @£10 per hour and also £60 for the SARs. Don't know if it will work but I will keep you all posted.

Best of luck with that lisajaynec, good on you :T

Hi you can find several templates for your letter if you google. ppi letter template or similar. Some even have a list of reasons for you to use or edit. I kept my letter to Barclays relatively short and put more detail in the questionnaire.

    Dear Sir or Madam,

    Re: Account number: xxxx123

I am writing in relation to the payment protection (PPI) policies which I believe were mis-sold to me.

    1. Re:. Personal Loan reference xxxxxxxxxxxx/ Payment Protection Policy No: xxxxxxxxxxxx

I purchased the above policy from you in ddddd in connection with the loan agreement referenced above.

    2. Re:. Personal Loan reference xxxxxxxx / Payment Protection Policy No: xxxxxxx

I purchased the above policy from you in dddd in connection with the loan agreement referenced above.

I believe that I was mis-sold these policies for the reasons given in the questionnaires, and wish you to investigate my complaint according to your normal complaint procedures.

Unless you can prove that the policies were fair and reasonable and that I was treated fairly when I was sold the insurance, I demand a full refund of the Premiums and any subsequent charges on it that I have paid. An amount of 8% interest is also expected to be added to each payment.

    Yours faithfully,

I am starting a complaint about mis sale of insurance on a Bank of Scotland loan & I am going to add a list of what I have included in my complaint. ie copies of credit agreement & the policy, on the covering letter and keep a copy.--just in case:(

    Hope this helps.

Just received a letter from Barclays stating my claim for mis-sold ppi was not upheld as they have no record of me taking out any loans!
As stated in my letter to them these loans were taken out in the 1990's and i have no paperwork of any sort to back up what i'm saying. Is there any other avenue i could possibly pursue or am i flogging a dead horse with this one??
Thanks in advance for any advice Folks.

Did you pay for these loans by direct debit and have internet banking?,if you do, look on your dd list and see if the old dd is still there,if it is,the account number will be there, people have won mis sell with loans from the 90s but you may have to try and get the account numbers.

Due to the year,i dont think a SAR would help you, this was 11 years ago,i would think the data would be destroyed now.

I took out loans after calling into my local Barclays and not sure if it was direct debit, just that the money was taken out every month 'till it was payed up.
I've got internet banking now but did'nt have then.
Ps-i still have the same bank account that the loans were payed into/debited out from if that helps?
    Thanks for advice btw!

    You are welcome.
You could try the statement, dont know if the number at the side of the payments will be the loan account number, but worth a try,you could give Barclays a ring with that number and see if that helps.

Ring them and ask if they can find the direct debit for any loans that you have paid with them, they may be able to find these and give you the account number,do you know that you had ppi on these loans?.
