MBNA always ask for a £1. Beware though, these thieves took my £1 and still haven't sent me my documents. To be honest I'm having no luck with MBNA on charges or PPI. Simply no response to letters in many cases and it's getting on my nerves.

Then email the CEO of MBNA DIRECT and issue a complaint

Hi smc i've now won a misold against mbna and my mate has now won misale as well

Thanks Cappo

I disputed PPI on a KwikFit card run by RBS one letter and 2 months later I got over £300 back

In your experience how long did it take? Were they difficult to deal with?

I used a CMC (twice)

One cost me 25% plus VAT (not a pleasant experience to have to pay them such a large amount)

The other did it for a fixed fee of £100 plus VAT which was far more palatable and they were more professional

The third time I did a diyppi as I thought it was easy.

Dealing with the banks was not easy but the letters produced by the software I used were excellent and I managed to beat the bank

Food for thought,

Question:
If the people on here who have used CLAIM company's to get their PPI back, and have been stung by huge costs in doing so..........can they then offset this cost (as an expense) against the tax on the 8% interest ;)

I done my dispute with R.B.S. a few years back using the info on this site. Worked out well for me!

This is the interesting thing, as more and more people are discovering how to claim back PPI etc, we are now seeing little known things come out of the woodwork, like a Kwikfit card.
I personally feel that over the next few years, the banks will be paying back double or treble to the sums they first allocated

The Virgin card is run by MBNA so you need to be talkiing to them.

Email the CEO of MNBA ian.odoherty@bankofamerica.com

Before that, check your PPI carefully, if it was a policy from St Andrews Group in Ireland (part of Llloyds), you will find that it is worthless and would never cover you. This is fraud committed by MNBA AND a very expensive one as well as MBNA sold the policy on a percentage of the balance of the card each month. If you were mis-sold then claim all premiums back plus interest

I had a CREDITCARE BRONZE policy provided by St Andrew's Life Assurance & Scottish Amicable Life plc. The address is given is Surrey. Says St Andrew's group will undertake all services associated with the policy. My BOS loan was from 2002-2007. was it worthless too?

Probably, st andrews policies arn't worth the paper there written on thats why so many claims against this group are upheld.

Just a quick question, the FOS upheld my complaint against Egg Loans (they used excellent stalling tactics of over a year). Realistically how long should I give Egg before I start hassling them to get my money back?
