Hi Cap, reckon they are all at the shops spending their winnings

I reckon your right mate the question is have they had there compo to spend things seem to have definitely slowed up now, still waiting to hear from barclays with calculations and LTSB with payment amongst others mate then i can go shopping lol
  • Hi Cappo
I had a rejection letter from FLA, stating that Santander (it was originally sold by tricity lombard for Scotish power in 1998) turned me down because they had no proof that the policy was miss sold. It wasn't fit for purpose as I had six mths full pay and six mths half pay and the loan was only for £528 for a cooker but every mth I paid 80p per £100, not a great deal but the policy wasn't fit for purpose and because this was in 1998, dont think the FOS would take it on.

Any help or advice gratefully received

If only that were the case! In theory I would have been had the cheque arrived within the acceptable timescale. :p

  • Hi I was wodering if you had heard anything else from M and S as your posting spurred me on to write to them again when they initially rejected me. They wrote to me saying they would reply within two weeks which hopefully is the middle of next week. Thanks Nahla32
Well, further to my sending the above, today I received the following:

Thank you for contacting us.... etc.

In view of what you have pointed out, we have begun to reinvestigate your case; we will write to you again when this process is complete. We will send you this more detailed response within two working weeks from the date of this letter.

Once again, thank you for... etc.

Hey-ho - more waiting then! At least they haven't dismissed me out of hand...!

    Keep smiling!

    R xx

Thats a lot of tax ??? Not certain if they are allowed to do that, it is not interest on savings where they do pay the tax, it is refund

With your CMC, did they get you the refund or did you do it yourself ?

Hi hun, haven't been on since fri - no, it came straight to him, his bill will be in the post i would imagine!
I just hope they dont take 25% of the amount with the £300 still on as that will mean we will only end up with a few hundred pounds - we'l have less then the cmc!!! wouldnt mind, i have done all the emails, etc,etc...never mind.:o
Hope your ok...i will email you this week with regards to that fraud on the car and fill you in as we have had slight developments, it has gone to head office :):) xx
  • Food for thought,

    Question:
If the people on here who have used CLAIM company's to get their PPI back, and have been stung by huge costs in doing so..........can they then offset this cost (as an expense) against the tax on the 8% interest ;)
  • Does anyone have an email for the head of Virgin Money? They've cashed my £1 for the t&c's haven't sent me the info and keep asking for a pound. I've complained to the CEO via post but again had no response. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next?

    Thanks

    Good morning,

Does anyone have the address relating to Goldfish Credit Card PPI claims, please?

My account dates back more than 6 years.

    Many thanks

I have a Virgin/MBNA card I have had it a number of years and have been paying P.P.I. I didn't know it was optional and have had it already independently for I think 2 years. Does any one have any experience on MBNA I have heard that they can be rather difficult at times?

    Good morning

I received a 'kick-back' letter from Santander on Friday 28th October, relatiing to PPI sold to me with an Abbey mortgage in 2002,

Although I'd given them the policy number, they state that they cannot find my details when searching.

They suggested that I call Cardiff Pinnacle who may help.

Did this using the phone number detailed on the plocy document, and got through straight away.

They also found me straight away, and would discuss my account after my remembering my account password.

The same person then passed me internally to the Santander complaints team, who say they will make new checks.

It appears that Santand don't entirely exhaust all efforts to match details.

    Very irritating!!!

    I'm not giving up.

    Regards
