Ring them and ask if they can find the direct debit for any loans that you have paid with them,they may be able to find these and give you the account number,do you know that you had ppi on these loans?.
Ok thanks i will ring them.
100% certain they had ppi as they wouldn't sanction the loan without me agreeing to accept it, a classic mis-sell!Libraries gave us power, then work came and made us free...:D0 -

Don't know if it will work but I will keep you all posted.
My Wallis account card was covered by St Andrews, Santander sent me the policy, but they turned me down for miss selling even though I had adequate sick pay at work. This is lodged with FOS now.
Now that's what I'm talking about ........its all relevant:)0 -
You are most welcome,hope this works for you.0

Just received a letter from Barclays stating my claim for mis-sold ppi was not upheld as they have no record of me taking out any loans!
As stated in my letter to them these loans were taken out in the 1990's and i have no paperwork of any sort to back up what i'm saying. Is there any other avenue i could possibly pursue or am i flogging a dead horse with this one??
Thanks in advance for any advice Folks.
Hi Colin
I found when I requested data from a SAR request, I did not receive everything from the old loan accounts from the mid 90's.
But found they did hold data in the local branch, so if you've not done so yet, call in to your local branch and ask them to go back as far as they can go and check microfiche files, they may still have some details.
So if your passing by a branch, call in, give it a shot, good luck.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Give it a shot!

Just spending my Sunday morning completing questionnaire to complain about the mis sale of PPI to send to BOS tomorrow.:(
My OH found my copy of credit agreement (sent by courier) and when I looked at it I can’t think why I didn’t smell a rat then! I only applied to BOS because I was sent a leaflet offering favourable rates for teachers :mad:
It reads;
PART 2 CREDIT INSURANCE Step 2
You apply for the following insurance cover;
BOS Creditcare Bronze
If you have applied for credit insurance you confirm that you have been informed of and understand the eligibility criteria and you meet those criteria
PART 3 PARTICULARS OF LOAN Step 3
Advance A £16,200
BOS CREDITCARE BRONZE B £4971.78 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
C £
Amount of credit (A + B +C) D £21171.78
Total charge for credit E £ 4714.62
Total amount payable (D + E) F £25886.40
The total amount (F) is payable by consecutive monthly instalments ...as follows....followed by 60 monthly instalments of £431.44
You apply for the following additional insurance cover;
You agree to pay the premium of £ which will be added to and payable at the same time as the first instalment specified in part 3 of this schedule
Why is C left blank? should they have listed a monthly premium for the creditcare in PART 3 PARTICULARS OF LOAN
Does this look misleading? Will it help or hinder my case?
Any help in how to word my reason for this part of the mis sale would be so appreciated
Hi
Contact them, and ask about this, in order to continue the reclaim.
However, as being teachers, I expect you would have already had protection in place, so you need to make them aware that you only recently realised this and if you had known when this was taken out, you would not have chosen the PPI with already being protected in your career.
No harm in trying to get further details first though, good luck.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi i am just about to start my claim and i am completing the questionnaire. I just wondered if you would recommend that i send a letter with any extra information on along with the questionnaire?
Thanks
Lucy
Hi Lucy and welcome
That is up to you of course, although the Questionnaire gives you an opportunity to add any information you want to give that applies to your reclaiming.
Just remember to keep copies of all you send, in case you need to refer back to the case again, or complain to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) later on, as it will save time later on, good luck on your reclaiming.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
