Hi all, and I hope Lisa sees this post.
An update with regard to my Wallis Card. Creation Finance has upheld my complaint and refunded me, very quickly in fact, for the premiums and interest due up to 2004. I only received this refund once I could prove that I was not in employment when I took out the card, and I had to obtain this information from the National Insurance Contributions Office myself and send to Creation Finance. Having asked Creation to give me a breakdown of the figures and how they reached my final refund figure, it showed me that the refund only went up to 2004 even though the insurance continued until 2007.
I have spoken to the FOS about this today, who has confirmed that even though GE Capital (Santander) took over the ownership of the card in 2004, the mis-sell was at the start of the insurance, and so Creation Finance are responsible to refund me for the whole life of the insurance, not just the early part.
I have therefore written to them to day asking them to send me the extra three years of premium payments.
I will keep you posted as to what happens, but thought others would benefit from this information.0 -

Hi again Cappo
Yeah, I agree. Creation are not going to like to hear this news, but were trying to get away with it by not giving dates etc., in their original refund letter. So again advice to you all. Get a breakdown of the amount to be refund, including dates etc., because they are trying to be devious and cover up full information.0 -

Thanks Beverley- i have seen this, but it was Santander who told me to claim from 2001 to 2004 from creation and themselves (santander) from 2004-2011. I have received all my money back from creation but santander turned me down as they stated they UPGRADED my ppi in 2004 once they took over the account. I have been to FLA who weren't much help. my complaint is logged with FOS. Keep me informed of your progress and i will keep you informed of mine.
Thanks
