I have received all my money back from creation but santander turned me down as they stated they UPGRADED my ppi in 2004 once they took over the account. I have been to FLA who weren't much help. my complaint is logged with FOS. Keep me informed of your progress and i will keep you informed of mine.
Thanks
Lisa
But what the FOS told me was that Creation should have refunded you the full amount, it is not Santander's responsibility to refund you any, as the mis-sell happened at the start when you took out the card. So even though Creation was not the owner from 2004 to 2011, they should be the ones to pay back the refund.0 -

The banks are also being really crafty by not sending out dates with their calculations. Barclays Bank told me my settlement figure 5 weeks ago (with no mention of dates) and as it is now so much later, the amount has not increased (surely should be more interest accrued), so I am going to write to all banks once I have received their refunds, querying this fact and requesting interest due to late payments.0

Totally agree with Cappo, the FSA is a powerless government body who are really not in the interests of the consumer, they should snap their fingers and the banks come running, right now it is the other way around.
There should be a department set up to police these bankers and quick heavy fines should be employed if the rules are broken.
The banks are taking the p...s out of the authorities right now, that must change
THEY SAY
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is the regulator of the financial services industry in the UK
START TO REGULATE THEN instead of letting consumers down and letting the banks WALK ALL OVER YOU0 -

iV BEEN OFFERED TWO PAYMENTS ON MIS-SOLD PPI LOANS IV HAD BY RBS.. IV ACCEPTED THERE OFFERS AND PAYMENTS SHOULD OF BEEN MADE BY THIS WEDNESDAY 26TH. THEY HAVE WRITTEN SAYING THERE MAY BE A FOUR WEEK DELAY AND WILL PAY INTEREST ON THIS AMOUNT. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT INTEREST THEY WILL PAY PER DAY.THANKS
I sent my claim in August LAST YEAR and received my offer in August THIS YEAR. Posted acceptance letter off which they received on 5th September and am still waiting for the money. Last week I was told it could be two or three weeks yet before payout so i would ignore anything they say about paying you within 28 working days. Was advised that they would add interest up to the day of payment so am expecting a slight increase in the amount I agreed to. Can I ask when you made your initial claim? They do not appear to be paying out in any sort of order which is very annoying.0 -

I sent off a SAR to Barclays Bank months ago including my £10 cheque. I received information regarding current credit cards I have with them, but never received any information of on two MASTERLOANS that I had dated back to 1996. I have both of the full loan numbers, the amount I was paying each month, and I also sent a copy of a bank statement showing this information and proving that the loans did exist. Barclays have never mentioned these two loans and I have been chasing them now since June for this information.
Today I have received a letter back from them (following my chase again last week) addressed to me but the salutation is to a Mr. Allen (????) stating they are unable to locate either of the masterloans taken out due to the age of the loans. Now I realise this is a long time ago, but can they honestly tell me that they do not have details of these loans in their archive records? When I spoke to the FOS last week regarding Tescos admitting to having details of a credit card, but unless I can prove what I paid in PPI they could only refund me, what I could prove to them. The FOS felt this very dubious of Tescos, as they said they would definately hold this information, and would chase me if they found that I owed them money, and wanted to chase Tescos on my behalf, so to me this is similar.
I believe that Barclays Bank, can't be bothered, are hoping that I will just go away, but I have sent them a SAR and paid for all the information that the hold on me. I don't know if I had PPI on these two loans, this is what I want to find out!
Can someone please help me with what I should be doing now in this instance. What is the name of the organisation I should be quoting in relation to Data Protection, and Barclays sending me thorough information? Or because of the age, they are correct in what they are saying. Personnally, I just think they are hoping I will give up the chase.
I had similar problem with barclays and telephoned Barclays Insurance in Dublin who gave me policy numbers going back to early 1990's0
