    Update:

    Hi Guys,

For all of those with RBS have just got off of the phone from a very helpful and stressed out young man in the PPI call centre.

What he told me, through whispered tones was that apparently on receipt of the acceptances, payment are put onto some kind of system where they are only issued after a certain time, like a payroll or some such.

He went on to say, with a bit of humorous cajoling that as much as everyone screams, shouts and kicks off at those on the phones, the managers and call centre staff know about the same thing in this area. Which is basically, not that much. Some stuff is hear say.

He went on to say that in the same position, he would do the same, it is however a case of their frontline services being left to face the rightly irate customer.

He advised me to sit tight until 28 working days was up and then quite happily raise merry hell until the payments are made. The delays however, do incur further fees to them, which they have to pay back, especially if the loan is still on-going and I like others are still technically paying PPI.

This guy could be a wind up merchant, whether or not he is, the main thing I got was this is wide reaching chaos. Apparently though, through a bit more cajoling, he said that yes payments were being made, RBS is just dragging their feet through taffy.

As for me, well I have started my campaign, I will be working my way through the board as highlighted in their recent CSR, have written to my MP (it worked last time) and have templates ready for Watchdog. Someone needs to highlight the fact that although, the banks have to pay, some of them are taking their sweet time about it.

    Hi Di3004,

You are always very kind. I am so disappointed with Halifax, I am like banging my head on the wall.

    Your very welcome honey.

    And still not resolved then?

Well done, I would imagine it is wide reaching chaos from Stephen the Hester the CEO down to tea lady in the RBS

You may care to list the board members here so we can all have a go at them. Hester seems to be floating in cloud 9 at the moment.
I think the truth of the matter is that the RBS actually cannot afford these re payments and as income comes in to them, they pay a few of us off ...... it won't be long before we own 100% of RBS

They must be having a day where they are actually answering their calls, I got through just after 1pm, and spoke to a fairly nice chap who was able to tell me how much my new loan payments would be which was fine but i've been in arrears and have been paying through Capquest for a couple of years after being on a DMP through CCCS, he then told me if I speak to CQ(Credit Management Services for RBS) they will be able to tell me what i'll still get back, basically with the total I had on my original loan, less the ppi and interest, less what i've already paid, should bring the total to around £5k so i'm trying to double check this as the redress more than covers this, he also gave me a number for which I didn't have, have had others but constantly engaged, when I called CMS for RBS they were only taking numbers so will see if they phone me back this afternoon or not.
With the rest of the redress over the other complaints I had in I should still see about half of my total redress which I'll use to clear my feet of all but one of my current debts(except car and mortgage) thats if and when the money comes through.

Also asked the guy if they had my acceptance forms on the system but they didn't he asked when they were sent back and I was able to tell him they had been signed for on Monday, he said to wait till next Tuesday and call back then, I probably won't call as happy to wait for the 28 days, well as happy as one can be. He also said as Channers has said they are really busy.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

    Hi,
Im a newbie here. I wonder if some of you old seasoned professionals can help me. Im waiting for paperwork to come through from the FSCS as Picture no longer exsist as I was mis-sold the PPI (various reasons - the same as everyone else I suppose). This is going to sound horrendous but at the time consolidating debts etc was the best thing to do. I took a loan out in June 2006 for £43,000 with the PPI totally approx @ £10,900. The monthly repayments including PPI to date is £434 per month, I am 5 years 4 months through the 25 year loan period and have received rebates totalling approx £5000 during this time. The PPI runs out on the 5th year. Can someone please help me to estimate what the likelhood of getting a refund back or compensation regarding this. Help appreciated! Thanks.
