    Hi folks,
I have been reading this forum with interest for months and have finally joined! I contacted BOS over the phone back in June to claim back PPI on two loans and a mortgage I had as a student (I wouldn't have been able to claim the insurance as I wasn't in full time employment) and my 16 weeks would be Nov 2nd, but I've had no word from them at all- is this usual? Anyone else trying to claim from them?
Also, second question, I have a BOS Credit Card which when I first took it out as a student was a Visa and at some point has been changed to a Master Card. Do I have to contact Visa and Master Card separately or will this have been included with my BOS claim as the cards came from them?

    Thanks for any help,

    Kat

Hi KAT, No you only deal with BOS as they supplied you with the card.

Does anyone on this forum have the CEO info on BOS for Kat so she can persue from the top

  • Hi everyone - I'm new to this forum.

I have just finished filling in my questionnaire and am sending it off to BOS tomorrow.

I took out a loan of £8000 around 4 years ago, and am still paying it, but had no idea that I had PPI until just a few weeks ago when I was looking through my paperwork to see when my loan was ending! I never would have took out PPI, so am complaining that it was mis-sold to me. Do you guys think I have a case?

This site has really been great for information!

  • Sent a ppi claim questionnaire to Clydesdale Bank at the beginning of August, complaint was upheld and today i was £10,000 better off when I checked my bank balance.:j Thanks to this site the whole process was made simple even for me, and it only costed 46p. Was wondering though, I have received this from the Clydesdale but in the meantime I have found details of another loan with them from 2000, showing ppi once again..Can I make another claim now that I have accepted and received redress for my original claim? Or is it me being greedy???;)

Thanks MSE site and hope anyone thinking of claiming gets it done because it really is very easy to do,

    Cheers JohnC64

From what I have read in other posts, if you make a claim to a certain bank they normally review all of your dealings with them providing they still have records. If the original complaint has only redressed the one loan/cc and you still have documentation regarding an earlier loan/cc then you could claim on that too. Without being privvy to your uphold it's difficult to know if they have included earlier loans/cc's. Most bank only keep records for 6/7 years. If you can prove PPI on earlier dealings then you could try, you have nothing to lose. More experienced people may be able to advise better as I am no expert on multiple claims.

Hi and welcome, if you did not authorise the PPI, THEN THE ONUS is on them is to prove you did.
Mis-selling is where they told you something that was not true. if they just added the PPI without you knowing, that is more serious as it is fraud and theft.
