Hi Channers - my claim went in to RBS in August 2010 and am still waiting for the money. Acceptance letter posted in August this year which they say they did not receive until 5/9/11. They told me over the phone that it would be paid into my account on 12/10/11 - today. Guess what NO MONEY today. Don't hold your breath. I'm due over £22,000 but they certainly don't want to part with it.

Absolutely disgusting and I know that if I withhold my loan repayments, they would be happy to see me in court before paying back what is owed.

So, other than alerting the FSA to this which seems like further fraud, the best action does seem to be Watchdog and daily campaign to RBS and their team..

Please feel free to join in with me!

Channers, I email Hester every day but as I said earlier, he is an ignorant man along with his team. Frankly, Hester is not fit to be the CEO of RBS, might be better suited to selling candy floss on Brighton Pier:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for the heads up - there must be something that can be done....I have a tenacious mind

    Hi Ray and welcome

Yes I would complete these separately in my opinion, this way you know they cannot get confused, give them as much info as possible and keep copies of each one as well, just in case you need to refer back to them again at some point.
Also make them aware you've only recently became aware of the PPI mis selling and believe this applies to you, and now you are pursuing on a reclaim of the PPI with your reasons.

Good luck, send them to the ones who sold and set these up for you from the start.

I note you said you taken another out which paid off another, was the broker the same one as the first one?
If not then pursue the other on the first one, hope this helps, please keep us posted, cheers.;)
Thanks, Di. The loans were taken out through a First National rep and in any case the firm involved in the original deal has been bought/almalgamated several times since.

Apart from anything else it was not explained how long the insurance would last, so if it was only for five years it was inappropriate, and if it was for ten they ought to have reimbursed us for five years' worth of useless premiums, so either way it seems to me they haven't a leg to stand on.

Hester is one of life's idiots I'm afraid, he does not do a good job, hopefully he will go but who to replace him with so many other "wannabee" CEO's around

Bazzo, 100% yes A FOB OFF

YOU MAY HAVE PURCHASED the van from Motor Point but the loan is with Black Horse. Just make it clear to them

Black Horse are part of Lloyds TSB
Lloyds TSB are suffering financial problems so they are going to dream up any story so they dont pay out.
  • Hi folks,
I have been reading this forum with interest for months and have finally joined! I contacted BOS over the phone back in June to claim back PPI on two loans and a mortgage I had as a student (I wouldn't have been able to claim the insurance as I wasn't in full time employment) and my 16 weeks would be Nov 2nd, but I've had no word from them at all- is this usual? Anyone else trying to claim from them?
Also, second question, I have a BOS Credit Card which when I first took it out as a student was a Visa and at some point has been changed to a Master Card. Do I have to contact Visa and Master Card separately or will this have been included with my BOS claim as the cards came from them?

    Thanks for any help,

    Kat
