Well done, I would imagine it is wide reaching chaos from Stephen the Hester the CEO down to tea lady in the RBS
You may care to list the board members here so we can all have a go at them. Hester seems to be floating in cloud 9 at the moment.
I think the truth of the matter is that the RBS actually cannot afford these re payments and as income comes in to them, they pay a few of us off ...... it won't be long before we own 100% of RBS

OMG!! Vanquis tried this one on me too! I queried a couple of years ago why I was paying PPI, and they said I had called and asked for it?!!
I am getting on to them about this now
After sending an email (with the help of beamerguy!) to the CEO of Capital One for them to confirm that they had a transcript of this "phone call" before I send them the £10 that they requested they have replied !
They confirmed that they do not have any evidence of this phone call as they were not obliged to keep scripts/records of phone calls before January 2005.
So I've replied (with the help of beamerguy again!) stating PPI was added to my account without my knowledge & await the refund of all fees taken for PPI.
I'm even more annoyed as not only would I've wasted the £10 fee that they requested but also valuable time as they advised the process coukd take up to 40 days!
I await their reply !0 -

I suspect they are going to try this one on me, but I have still sent of my PPI refund requests anyway0 -

Well Done...............
If you work & earn less than 39k and/or the ppi redress (8%) wont push you over this, you will need to pay 20% on the 8% interest only (£57.48) this can be made over the phone by adjusting your tax code or by a self assesment form at the end of the year. If you earn over 39K and you have a elite tax code you can avoid paying this, PM me for details.
Hi - I have a similaer dilema re tax due on the 8% and dont really want to pay it TBH.
I am a higher rate tax payer and just wondered if you could let me have some info on how to avoid paying it please.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all,
I am still struggling to get a straight answer out of Barclaycard as to when they are going to pay me.
Is Bob Diamond still the CEO?

Hi Matty, remind them that they stated "they would repay PPI's without question"
WAS THIS A FRAUDULENT STATEMENT ALONG WITH FRAUDULENT PPI's
ASK THEM ?0 -

Avoid paying it at your peril Matty. Any banks that are paying it gross are being quized by HMRC and being asked for recipients details. They will catch up with you at a later date. It's only payable on the 8% so you might as well cough up whilst it's there to be able to do it with. I wouldn't risk itSuccesses
