    Good afternoon

I have had a useful morning, most of it spent waiting on 08.. numbers, but I guess thats all part of the game....

    So far, spoken with:

Black Horse (asked for a FOS form to be completed), as did MBNA)

Halifax (Mortgage, loan & CC) gave me reference numbers for a number on items.
GE (gave me a reference number on one item)
Santander (Abbey National) I did an email to them

    Anyone know what happened to:

    Chartered Trust Plc
    First National Bank
    iGroup

    Best regards

    DIP

    ??

    Many thanks

Hi dunno if anyone can help. I took out a loan with HSBC bank in 2005 and i'm still paying it off. I rung them up earlier today to ask them if i had ppi because i wanted to claim it back as i didn't no if i had it or not plus i just received a cheque from egg for £1067 which i won for them mis-selling :D
Hsbc said i do have payment protection but not ppi whats the difference? Dunno if she was just trying to put me off!! Should i still write a letter to them and go for it anyway??

Here's some food for thought guys with LTSB, not very popular with the fos by all accounts

Hi dip i've put some more info re what i said earlier in reply to your post today re no info, find relevant ref numbers of fsa ps10/12 etc, you might find useful to quote to your banks if you get stuck

3.2.7.G: The firm should consider all of its sales of payment protection contracts to the complainant in respect of re-financed loans that were rolled up into the loan covered by the payment protection contract that is the subject of the complaint. The firm should consider the cumulative financial impact on the complainant of any previous breaches or failings in those sales.

3.3.3 G: The firm should recognise that oral evidence may be sufficient evidence and not dismiss evidence from the complainant solely because it is not supported by documentary proof. The firm should take account of a complainant's limited ability fully to articulate his complaint or to explain his actions or decisions made at the time of the sale

3.3.8 G: The firm should not draw a negative inference from a complainant not having kept documentation relating to the purchase of thepolicy for any particular period of time.

Good read! Reading some of the readers comments under the article though. I won't name which one but one of them made me mad!!! Am sure you can guess which one
  • Hi everyone,
I know it has been a while since I last posted anything.
    Just a short update.

I did get all of my PPI plus interest paid back to me in July 2011, but Egg are now CHARGING me £ 2,020.01 for the removal of this PPI from my loan account .
    Is this LEGAL ?
My IP (as I am in an IVA and will be until March 2012) will NOT help me get this money whatsoever and I am left on my own to do NOTHING because Egg will only do business with my IP,
I am in an catch 22 situation. The final payment of my PPI comes from the FINAL STAGE of my FINAL REVIEW with the FOS.
The NEXT STAGE with Egg is the COURTS which I do NOT want to do as I have NO MONEY whatsoever being unemployed at the moment.
In July 2010, Egg sold my loan account to a DEBT COLLECTION COMPANY and a week later wrote to me saying that they had done this action even though it is PROHIBITED to do so under the IVA rules.
Egg have already denied doing anything wrong.

    I need help from anyone.
    Thanks

Well have chased up again with the CEO as getting a bit sick of being fobbed off with "no, we can't tell you progress of your claim". Surely someone can tell me something "Yes, its being calculated, No it's in a pile to do", anything rather than "we can't tell you anything but will be in touch"

I know they are busy but they do wind customers up even more!!

So just waiting to hear their reply!
