Forgot to say on my previous post before...OH bought a car on HP from a BMW/volvo garage in 2001....as we were shredding documents the other day (i know, i hoard letters & statements...but normally its just tat!!) he found the agreement to which the signiture on the ppi bit was NOT my OH's!!:eek: and it was so obvious..we couldn't believe it, OH had not noticed before...(dumb i know) but it was still in the envelope unopened as OH knew what it was ..so for 4 years we were paying £35 a month for not only a rubbish package BUT a GOLD package of PPI :mad:..to which was signed for by someone else:cool:!!
OH rang volvo credit who put him on to ford credit as that's who supplies their credit & he was advised to write to the garage & notify them of this fraud and take it further if needed...so i wrote a letter and posted it Tuesday but heard nothing yet...we are really shocked & feel stupid at not finding this originally:cool: but hey ho, it's one of them isnt it.:(
So OH has asked for PPI back..and i think he should have some form of compensation as this is fraud...we will wait and see...we will go CAB if no joy and take it further..what do you guys think??
xx
I think you have an excellent claim sunny, go for it my woman.0 -

It's now pretty much 2 months since I sent in the acceptance for my settlement and I still haven't received any money from LloydsTSB. I have emailed them about this and they said they have acknowledged receipt of the settlement but can't give me a date. This was about 3 weeks ago. I have emailed again saying I wish to complain about the service and the fact that the premium rate helpline takes 10 minutes or so to get through.
Not really sure what to do now? I have been out of work for over a month (I start a new job tomoro thankfully) so essentially I have at least another month of no income and I am starting to struggle.0 -
Good morning All
I'm a neebie to the forum.
I spent half of yesterday, searching through old personal documents, looking for evidence of any PPI.
In all honesty my records are not too complete, in fact what I did piece together is hardly representative of my roller coaster of finance history.
However, I am convinced that there have been plenty of activity where PPI is involved. Personal loans, Credit cards, Mortgages etc.
I am of the impression that I will need evidence to support claims.
Is this true?
Money and time is tight right now, and oh, could we do with a boost.
Incidentally, whilst looking I came across a certificate confirming ownership of registration number D1PGO. A long forgotten treasure, hence my user name.
Regards

Hi Dip , things seem to have got a bit strained with our banks lately, people are having problems but according to the fsa handbook and ps 10/12 you should'nt be disadvantaged by the fact that you never kept documents, none of us did, talk to the bank depending on who you bank with they might just confirm over the phone that you had the ppi cover there is a process called a sar where you request info from the bank but i would try the other route first another fsa ps10/12 entry is that a lender must inform you about any other loans credit cards you held when you claim misold on one they should tell you about any you've missed, good luck and we're here for you if you need help. welcome to the forum
3.2.7.G: The firm should consider all of its sales of payment protection contracts to the complainant in respect of re-financed loans that were rolled up into the loan covered by the payment protection contract that is the subject of the complaint. The firm should consider the cumulative financial impact on the complainant of any previous breaches or failings in those sales.
3.3.3 G: The firm should recognise that oral evidence may be sufficient evidence and not dismiss evidence from the complainant solely because it is not supported by documentary proof. The firm should take account of a complainant's limited ability fully to articulate his complaint or to explain his actions or decisions made at the time of the sale
3.3.8 G: The firm should not draw a negative inference from a complainant not having kept documentation relating to the purchase of thepolicy for any particular period of time.0 -

Hi myk they've all slowed up now again, LTSB have been getting refunds out quickly, i think far more people are claiming than they thought possible they thought there'd be a 20% take up of new complainants after the judicial review but i'd say it's nearer 60% have you sent an email to the ceo that sometimes does a bit of good
