I have emailed them about this and they said they have acknowledged receipt of the settlement but can't give me a date. This was about 3 weeks ago. I have emailed again saying I wish to complain about the service and the fact that the premium rate helpline takes 10 minutes or so to get through.
Not really sure what to do now? I have been out of work for over a month (I start a new job tomoro thankfully) so essentially I have at least another month of no income and I am starting to struggle.
I'm in exactly the same boat with my Halifax loan. Try that email address for the CEO though, you will get some form of reply. Good luck0 -
Morning Everyone,
Quick question, complained to RBS at the beginning of June re my OH's credit card. Had a rejection letter on Sat and it states in it that he did not have PPI on the card, yet old statements clearly show Cardholder Protection Plan, is this not the same thing??
thanks for your help.0 -
Thank you Cappo, I will give it a shot!
Fingers crossed......

Yes lyn they are trying it on copy your statements (not originals) to the ceo stephen hester and they will revise your rejection if you have the proof and rbs still don't play ball fos this. sorry haven't been able to find hesters email addy on the net the other guys will be on soon who can help with this if of course you don't already have it. good luck0 -
Well with everyone with similar dates to mine having success at the moment, I chased mine up only to get the below reply:
"Thank you for your email, blah blah.....
Unfortunately I am still unable to provide you with any specific timescales, however we are dealing with this as quickly as possible and will be in contact in due course."

Thanks Cappo, have emailed Stephen Hester and I have sent a letter enclosing copies of the statements I have.
In their letter they state he opted 'Not' to have PPI, so if he opted not to, what on earth is Cardholder Protection policy?
Thanks for your help.0 -

I don't think they know whats going on lyn half the time, the trouble is up to 3-4 people might deal with one claim and it's the case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing.0 -
Just rang Barclays to confirm they'd received my acceptance form that I returned to them last week, which they have, and was informed that once they've received the acceptance I should receive payment within 7-10 days. If I haven't received payment by next monday I'm to give them a ring again for them to look into it .......... *fingers crossed*0
