Just a quick question I recently accepted RSB's offer for being miss sold ppi, in there letter they say they will endeavour to pay the money in to my natwest current account with in 28working days, have many people recieved there money with in this time scale ??, they have stuck to there word so far in getting the claim looked at but I don't want to be to hopeful, they've had my acceptance for since 05-09-11 so they should pay up by 14-10-11.
So far i've had 3 claims that i've received the compo for and it's been fairly quick to date, don't know now though with how busy they are.:)0 -
lisajaynec wrote: »Just come home to my cheque from MBNA for £8,500 , they have used the other £500 to pay off my credit card account. I put in the claim on 3rd August, was notified on the 8th September that my claim had been upheld and received the cheque today 1st October.:j:T
I did send them a letter asking the figures to be re looked at because I have found a statement in August 2001 to say that i had a balance of 4k but according to them i only opened the account in may 2001 and i didn't do a credit transfer, but heard nothing from them.
The cheque letter says in full and final settlement so do i cash the cheque and if i do can i still ask MBNA to re look at the figures?
Thanks
Lisa
Hi lisa i think once you have cashed the cheque or signed to say you accept the payment you won't be able to go back again. well done on your win mate:beer::beer::beer::j:j:j:money::money::money::money::money::D:D:D:cool::cool::cool::T:T:T:T:T:):):):):):):)0 -

Congratulations thats a nice start to the weekend.
Can I just ask was it just a letter saying they had upheld and then a cheque? I had a letter 14th Sept saying upheld but don't know if I should be getting a breakdown of the reclaim or if they jsut sent the cheque.
If you have a statement in 2001 showing £4k it wouldn't harm to call them
Thanks in advance
Hi
thank you, I had the letter on the 8th September saying upheld and breakdown and offer figures was on that letter. I didn't have to send an acceptance form or anything. It stated on the letter that cheque would be sent within 28 days and it was!
Good luck to you and your claims.

Forgot to say on my previous post before...OH bought a car on HP from a BMW/volvo garage in 2001....as we were shredding documents the other day (i know, i hoard letters & statements...but normally its just tat!!) he found the agreement to which the signiture on the ppi bit was NOT my OH's!!:eek: and it was so obvious..we couldn't believe it, OH had not noticed before...(dumb i know) but it was still in the envelope unopened as OH knew what it was ..so for 4 years we were paying £35 a month for not only a rubbish package BUT a GOLD package of PPI :mad:..to which was signed for by someone else:cool:!!
OH rang volvo credit who put him on to ford credit as that's who supplies their credit & he was advised to write to the garage & notify them of this fraud and take it further if needed...so i wrote a letter and posted it Tuesday but heard nothing yet...we are really shocked & feel stupid at not finding this originally:cool: but hey ho, it's one of them isnt it.:(
So OH has asked for PPI back..and i think he should have some form of compensation as this is fraud
...we will wait and see...we will go CAB if no joy and take it further..what do you guys think??

Hi
Good cause and reason to do a reclaim, keeping my fingers crossed, if they try getting out of it, tell them if they don't resolve it, you will take matters further with the evidence you have, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi Oscar
Wishing you luck on your reclaim.
Keep in touch with the FOS every few weeks, hopefully they will resolve this for you now, fingers crossed.
Do you know if its been passed on to an Adjudicator yet?The one and only "Dizzy Di"
