    Hiya

Don't know if you have seen my posts on this

Monument was originally part of the Barclays group of cards
then approx 4/5 years ago a number of accounts were sold to other lenders (in my case an r rapheal and son) then it has now been sold onto compucredit

The issue seems to be when barclays had it I believe they had an insurance policy at point of sale

when it was then sold on it appears to have turned into something called PAYMENT BREAK PLAN where they take your money and if you are sick etc you can stop making payments or paying interest BUT THEY DONT TAKE THE NORMAL PPI ROUTE OF PAYING BACK YOUR BALANCE - YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY THEM TO REDUCE IT

I have sent the FOS questionnaire and im sure like you I'll get this ex gratia offer - there are other people who have had the same see
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3177068

Im just going to go FOS on it if I dont get a full refund plus interest

    Hope this helps

Quick question guys - Egg rejected my complaint earlier this year on the basis that no charges had been applied in the last 6 years. I have subitted a subject access request and received a ll the paperwork today. All I know is that PPI was applied in March 2003 when I applied online, however the statements provided only go back to 2005 so there is no record of how much I have actually paid. Is it simply a case I should take it to the FOS, and do Egg have a case if they simply argue that they have no data relating to payments over 6 years old and are therfore unable to make a refund?

hi mr gannet i would'nt pay too much regard to this, i'm chasing 3 LTSB refunds the bank will not admit to me having ppi when i know i had it and i had those policies 20 years ago,, this has so far taken 6 months to get sorted out i managed to eventually get the account numbers, when i sarred them i've threatened them with the mp now on Di's advice, chase this i would not be fobbed off we've had posters on here get told the same thing and they went on to claim a good win. good luck:) this is all part of the game now the banks will do anything to get out of paying, play them at there own game and remember most staff in banks are being told to fob people off now.

    Hi All,
Received one of my requested SAR arrived this morning after 44 days by DHL from Barclays,(Only waiting on co-op and santander now) i was hoping the info would go back to the 1990s but it doesn't, but it contains an experian report on me from 2009 when i re mortgaged. this has provided some more information on previous loans but it has some of the experian sections blacked out with marker pen when they are obviously loan or credit cards and i'm unsure why. Anyone any ideas?
I have tried to phone then with the number on top of the page but the indian man who answered said he had never heard of a data team!
